Great watch, but a little uncomfortable. Rating 4.5
I recently bought the Casio MRW-200H-7EV. This model has a white dial with luminous green hands and markings, which is clear and uncluttered, making it very easy to see the time. (See images.) It keeps accurate time (as would be expected of a quartz watch) and also shows the day of the week and date. However, there are a few things to note: - My wrists are slim (approx. 6.5in/16.5cm) and although there are plenty of holes in the strap to fit both larger and even slimmer wrists, I find that no matter how I adjust the strap, either the watch casing or strap ends up pressing against the wrist bone, which gets a bit uncomfortable after a while. (I don't have this problem with my other watches, even ones that are metal and heavier.) However, this is probably because the watch is perhaps a bit too large for my wrist, so I'm not going to deduct stars. - Although the hands and markings are luminous, it's not really possible to read the time in the dark as they don't glow for very long, hence my rating of 4.5 - it's a bit annoying but not a big deal. - The front 'glass' is acrylic (plastic/Perspex), so I imagine it may be easily scratched. However, the use of real scratchproof glass cannot be expected for such an inexpensive watch. - When I received this watch, the battery was already dead. However, the supplied instructions state that test batteries are installed during manufacture and may not last as long as the expected battery life of a new battery (approx. 3 years). The dead battery may simply be due to the watch having been sitting in a warehouse for a long time, not because there's any fault with the watch itself. And since installing a new battery (SR626SW/377) the watch has been working fine. - Though some reviewers have commented that the day of the week is not displayed in English, I believe all that's needed is to set the day correctly outside of the period 9pm to 5am, as per the supplied instructions. The model I received shows the day of the week in either English or Spanish, though it has been consistently showing the day only in English since I set it correctly. In summary this is a great watch considering its low price, though perhaps its size is a bit too large for slim wrists.

Does what it says on the box, great bang for your buck!
I work in security where good time keeping is essential. After my old, posh watches band fell apart from the rigors of the job and standing duty in wet weather, I decided I needed a watch which could take a licking and keep on ticking but I would not cry over if it did happen to break. My new Casio watch was delivered swiftly, looks great, following the included instructions it was easy to adjust the time, date, day and seems quite rugged. It is easy to read, even without my reading specs on. The luminescence doesn't last so very long, but this is not a big issue as I most always look at it with some source of light on and can still read it even in low lighting. One flash with my maglight will charge the luminescence for a few minutes. I forgot to take it off when I hopped in a hot bath, but the watch was absolutely fine, no problemo. So the water resistance feature seems to work fine too. The Casio Collection Men's Watch MRW-200H-1BVES looks like a much more expensive watch, does what it says on the box and is great bang for your buck, I highly recommend it!

Bought Nov 2019 - still going strong!
Worn everyday for work for 6 years. Strap broke last year. Bought a cheap black strap to replace the buckle side and it's working as good as ever. Battery replaced only twice. Top product!!

Looks like a Luminox, just as sturdy at one tenth the price
This is a great watch, for those looking for a military style, clear watch face. It's light, robust and waterproof and at first glance, looks just exactly like a Luminox or Traser Mil-spec watch. Great purchase for an everyday or weekend working watch. The couple of minus points are that the case is a bit smaller than advertised - the measurements are 46mm from the edge of the case including the crown and winder, so the watch face width is actually about 43mm. The strap is also a bit on the thin side and there is practically no luminosity at night. That said, for 20 pounds overall, you can't buy better. The numerals are exceptionally clear and the movement is accurate. Casio has great experience in robust, relatively inexpensive watches and there is a reason why armed forces personnel choose Casio as their watch of choice in the field. Other military looking watches are marketed as such, when they are not the real deal. While this watch is no G-Shock, it looks good, is accurate and easily looks like one of its very expensive competitors. Spot-on delivery from Amazon as well.

A superb buy for under £20.
An excellent beater watch for a pocket money price. Clear, crisp dial with some lume, though the lume fades quickly as you might expect for this price. Other reviewers have mentioned the somewhat unintelligible instructions for quick-setting the day/date complication: the way round the problem is to forget about the quick-set and do it the long way by turning the hands through the hours to the time/day/date you want, then everything lines up nicely and changes when it should. Comfortable but rather thin strap with a plastic buckle, but again quite solid and will probably last for years. The bezel works well and stays in place despite not having a "click". 100 metre's of water resistance. Keeps excellent time as you would expect from a Casio quartz. A superb buy for under £20 that looks good and does the job. 5 stars.

Phenomenal watch.. Looks superb
I love watches I have many seiko watches.. G shocks.. And protrek watches.. This beauty realistically is all the watch you really need... Unbelievable value and quality and reliability.... Simply cannot go wrong with this watch... Clear and simple..... Set the date with the hands at 6"o'clock... Set the day to yesterday's date then just wind it forward to today's correct date and time... Simple.... Love it... Fantastic for hiking... Update I wore this watch while hiking all winter in wet... Snowy. Freezing conditions I had a few slips and falls this watch is tough and durable and the accuracy is simply unbelievable... Totally impressed more than before with this little beauty....

Seting date and time
I wish I'd read all the earlier reviews. I followed the instructions in setting day and date. To set the date, you pull out the knob to the first click and turn anti-clockwise. Fine. To set day you turn knob clockwise. Nothing happens. I tried for ages. I then pulled out the knob fully and on turning the hands to set the time I noticed the day and date changing. This led me to try rotating the hands through the full range twice (emulating a day) and the day/date changed again. With a lot of messing about I managed to get the day and date aligned to match the previous Sunday (don't ask how, it was more by luck than judgement) I then rotated it laboriously through 6 complete revolutions to arrive at the current day (Tuesday) The date also followed the correct sequence. As it was 11.25 a.m. when was doing this, I set the time and at the end of the day the day and date moved on as they should.Had it been p.m, I guessed I'd have to have added a complete 12 hour rotation before moving on to the correct time setting. So basically Nul Points as they say on Eurovision as the instructions don't bare any relation to the actuality. And here's the big issue (if you are English). The days are there in both English and French but no matter how hard I try, only the French version comes up. Good job I did French at school, even if it was over 40 years ago. I think it's some sort of dastardly EU plot. Mind you ithe day/date bit is so small anyway, I can't read it without my specs. However, the watch itself is fine and a nice large dial, and should stand up well to the standard Cumbrian summer (rain). I would havesent it back, but it was so cheap I couldn't be bothered.Probably the manufacturer relies on this otherwise they'd probably go bust with this one.
