Hi folks,This is an extremely well made knife using an extremely good steel! The size of the blade and handle are just right for EDC using the frontal scout carry with the handle pointing to the downward position. I tell you that this is a Great knife for the price! I am ordering two more, one for each of my sons!

Better than I had anticipated, a true value.

The Petrified Fish Bison knife is a handy compact blade. I purchased this knife to EDC carry a cutting tool that wasn’t a folding knife. Super sharp with a sturdy point for piercing. A perfect choice for long distance hikers and hunters alike. The Bison comes with a thumb brake kydex sheath with zero rattle. Purchase this knife and you will not be disappointed.

Pros: Very well made, sharp, beautiful aesthetic and finish, nice accessories, good blade steel (all the reasons I purchased)Cons: Sheath retention is far too strong for deployment in an emergency (principle neck knife function), and the ergonomics, for me, are horrible. I wear a large size glove, and this knife is extremely uncomfortable to hold. I could not find a satisfying grip anywhere up and down the tang/handle, its rapid taper toward the butt appears to be the issue. For me, a paracord wrap wouldn't be a resolve, and if I have to make handle scales to make it right, buying something else becomes the right action.Knives are such a personal thing, it's near impossible to know if one will be a literal fit, until held in the hand. I really wanted to like this beautiful knife. Unfortunately, it's unusable for me, so it's being returned (at MY cost).NOTE TO ALL ON-LINE KNIFE RETAILLERS: Not offering free returns is understandable from a profit margin maintaining standpoint. But, to me, it's an unfortunate policy that displays a lack of understanding of the knife community, and the personal nature of a knife purchase. Going forward, I won't take the risk of on-line knife shopping if free returns are not offered.

Very light weight and easy to carry with an extremely sharp edge out of the box with a lot of carry options

This is a really great deal. The finish is great, the clip is decent, and it included a belt mount in addition to the clip. It also came with a chain and a lanyard bead. I work with kydex and this is as good a factory sheath as I’ve ever seen. 100% recommended.

Feels very premium for a skeletonized small fixed blade. Best sheath retention I have ever felt with a kydex sheath. A+ knife from Petrified Fish!
