Amazon Fresh, Diced Jalapeño Peppers, Hot, 4 Oz

I was pleasantly surprised. I was not anticipating something so good. But "so good" needs to be qualified. The reason it need to be qualified is because if you just open the can and eat them, it is underwhelming: there is no salt added, no vinegar added. So it is like eating crushed green lightly cooked mass. So what is good about them: 1. they have been tamed. I would take a mouthful, and the heat is there, but at a point where it is pleasant. It is nice to chase it down with milk or cheese, but not necessary. For comparison, if I take a plain fresh jalapeno, I absolutely need a chaser. 2. they are juiced up. Unlike eating a fresh chili, these are already juicy. If you want to juice up a fresh jalapeno, you need to cook it first. Here, it is ready to go. 3. There is no salt or vinegar. So it is a taste bomb, ready to explode, just waiting for salt and vinegar to "touch" it. The good thing you can control how much salt. To me this is very important. 4. They feel very fresh, and have good texture, and they look inviting to take a bite. 5. It has some citric acid, but it does not show up in taste. Overall, it is so convenient and good. And the cost is pretty good, compared to similar products.

Great to add to nachos.. Not to hot with great taste.

These were very very mild peppers, finely chopped. Great taste. Very good for hot dogs, salads, deviled eggs and such. Crisp.

I normally buy fresh jalapeno's but they dont store well. So I toss more than I get to eat. Saw these at their highly affordable price and gave them a try... Half can in my cooking.. Not overly 'hot'.. still have the japapeno spice I like and the jalapeno is packed full of awesome vitamins and capsaicin which is great for your body..

As it turns out, these seem to have more flavor and just the right amount of "heat". Some brands have a good flavor but no heat at all. These are better than many of the "name" brands I've used in the past.

Very good quality and good flavor BUT these are listed as hot so you expect HOT pickled jalapeños but these (at least the 4 cans I bought) have absolutely ZERO HEAT. I mean literally zero spiciness, like pickled bell peppers would have the same amount of spiciness as these do lol. When I say NO HEAT what so ever I literally mean NO HEAT WHAT SO EVER. my wife whom is so sensitive to spiciness she cant even eat pepperoni pizza tried these and agreed that there was absolutely zero heat it's just the taste of pickled jalapeños but wkth absolutely not a hint of heat. So while they was of no use to me because my son and I wanted some heat they will be awesome for anyone that's looking for the pickled jalapeño flavor but don't want any heat these will be perfect for you if that's what your looking for. Any other pickled jalapeños I've ever bought even the mild at least has a tiny bit of spice so I was very confused when these say hot and have absolutely not even the slightest bit of heat. It wasn't just one can it was all 4 cans I bought. Good flavor but zero heat so if that will fit what your looking for these are for you BUT if you want some heat with the jalapeño then look else where because these have zero. The texture of these are a little more mushy/soft than any other pickled jalapeño I've ever had as well and that was something else that I wasn't a fan of.

Taste is great. Not sure why it takes so long to arrive...like over a month! What's with that?
