Hard to use
Good size; easy to charge. Difficult to get the hang of. We used them as stocking stuffers and the kids struggled to get them really to take off well.

Very enjoyable for first time drone user
We ordered these drones for two reasons: first, to have some fun in our yard; second, to learn how to use drone/quadcopter controls. They come with two batteries each, which is nice, each battery seems to last about 5-6 minutes of continual use. They requiring pairing with the controller each time you turn them on, but it is a very quick process and easy to do.I am a first time drone/quadcopter user, so there is a pretty big learning curve, but these made it pretty easy to learn. My favorite feature is the auto take-off and land button. It launches your drone into a hover about 4-5 feet off the ground. It also gets you out of trouble if you lose control, it lands your drone safely if there is a clear path to the ground. Even if you get it hung up on something, this button will get the rotors turned off right away. The rest of the flight controls are straight forward, just needs practice to get comfortable with them.Pros:Batteries are quick to charge, each drone comes with twoDrone is very light, but durable, so crashes seem unlikely to damage anything easilyInstruction booklet is done well, explains controls in understandable wayHaven't tried the battle mode out yet, as I am not a good enough pilot, but seems like it will be very funEach drone comes with a complete set of replacement rotorsCons:Drone is very light, so even the slightest breeze will push it around pretty easily

Not that easy to use
I am no drone flying expert so I could just be using these very poorly, but my kids (14 and 5) struggled with using these, too. The controller is just too much and only 3/4 of it makes sense. Took us a bit to understand what was going on when they were battling and then no longer working. All in all, not for a beginner. What I like about them is that they are pretty strong. They are lightweight and dont seem like they would hold up well but ours did. One did eventually get a little crack in it but nothing serious and still completely usable.Battery life is very short lived and of poor quality. Plastic around battery wants to easily come off. Battery life is long enough to someone figure out what you are doing and then they die. Comes with extra batteries but they dont charged fast enough keep the fun rotating.10/10 I recommend based on quality and what it withstood. Do not recommend for beginners or younger children as it is hard to operate.

10 minutes of fun and then nothing. Disappointing set
This is a review for ARMEW Mini Drone for Kids,Beginners,Adults, 2Pack Battle Drone, Small RC Drone Quadcopter with LED Light, 2-In-1 Race and Fly Mode,Altitude Hold,3D Flip,4 Batteries Toy Gift for Boys Girls.I had wished these would at least be okay. I really has low expectations. I did however expect more than 10 minutes. Within 10 minutes both drones were dead forever. I fully charged both drones and they both took off. One just dropped out of the air and about 2 minutes later, the other one was crashed and it went dead as well.If you are wanting a set of drones that will give you time to have fun and perform acrobatic feats, these are not the ones you are looking for. They are a very disappointing pair and not worth a dime. Look for something better.

9 and 10 year old loved them
These were given to a 9 and 10 year old. The 9 year old had used a drone controlled with just your hand under it, but never with remote so this was basically new to both of them since there is a controller (you need to buy batteries for the controller). They were used to remote control cars and while some things are similar some things are different since these aren't just running along the ground. The battery lasts longer if you use slow speed (there are 3 speeds), which is what I had them set it on initially. There is a second rechargeable battery for the drone with is nice. No charging brick is provided. I had broken down and bought an extension cord that could charge 4 things at once (remote control cars and 4 kids using them) so that was handy. It would be worth playing with this yourself before you give it to a kid as my two who got these were impatient to start using it and looking at directions was not what they wanted to do. They were happy I could give them some quick instructions to get them started. I occasionally coached them on how to use the controller if they were getting frustrated. Within 3 battery discharges they basically had it under control. While it is small and you can use it in the house, it can knock knicknacks off of shelves if it hits them just right (ask me how I know that). So far they have survived walls, hitting each other with them, hitting cats and the two drones hitting each other. They really need a windless day if you are using them outside and no bushes or trees nearby so you aren't fishing them out of trees or bushes. The kids found them far harder to control even in a light breeze. That they need a tiny screwdriver (provided) is irritating as they get lost fairly easily (and in fact one was within two weeks but I found my glasses screwdriver worked). I was tempted just to use a tiny piece of package tape to make sure the cover stays shut and skip the screw.Dive bombing cats and made the cats run. And, of course, being kids, they chose to do that despite being told not to. Hover by the cats and they (once they realized they weren't going to be dive bombed) batted at it sometimes knocking the drone to the ground or into something. The kids liked to run the drones just above the cats making them jump to try to bat at them. While they haven't broken yet because of this, I'd suspect that may happen in the future. I'd imagine a dog might grab it in their mouth and I don't think they'd survive that. The kids enjoy them and the longer they use them the better they get at controlling what they want it to do. When they finally break I might purchase a replacement since they aren't tired of them yet and have fun with them.
