The reviews for this had me worried, especially about installation. Installation is a snap! That said, due to the size, it helps to have a helper for final wiring step...unless you have three hands! As for the dimmer, mine works fine on an existing dimmer switch for direct on or off, but the remote unit is wonderful so you never have to use the wall switch again. The remote covers every range of color temperature and dims beautifully. The photo is showing the light at less than 50%! Frankly, it's almost too bright at full which is great for close work, etc. Also, the ambient light covers a wide area. The height adjusting screws are plastic, but can be tightened by hand with no problem. Think a screwdriver might very well break them so don't use one. Not needed! Finally, this a REAL wooden fixture and looks great on or off! A well made product all around!!

Replaced a hanging light in our dining room with this. It was easy to mount. The instructions (though not needed) were clear, and the brightness is OK. (We had a fixture with six 60-watt bulbs in it before, so being a bit dimmer was to be expected.) You can use the remote or just flip the wall switch to change the color temp, so that is a nice feature. We really like the light and for the cost, you can't beat it.

This is a clean, modern design light that is dimmable and can also be set to your desired color temperature. It's easy to set the modes using the supplied remote control and after getting a link to the correct App from YisDesign support I've been able to control it from my phone. (The QR code on the included remote instructions didn't get me to anything. It linked to a non-working unknown IP address, not a domain name, so it seemed fishy). The Android app is available on the Google Play Store under the name LampSmart Pro. To add the light, click on the + symbol in the app and after naming your new light, click on the middle-right button (with the Bluetooth symbol beneath the concentric circles) within 15 seconds of powering on your light. The light will blink and should then be controllable from the app. I did have a difficult time getting all the excess wire in the ceiling canopy. I'd like to see something to secure the excess wire to within the canopy, but this is a one-time thing so it's not really that important. To set the hanging height, just tighten the plastic thumb screws just enough to securely grab the coating on the cable. Don't try to snug it down too much. I have mine installed with a switch that is controlled by Home Assistant so when turning off and on, the lamp does restore to the last used brightness and color temperature. After it's on, at this point I have to control it from the remote or the separate phone app. I haven't yet found a way to control it via Home Assistant directly, but since it operates off of Bluetooth, it should be possible.

This is a unique “pendant” light that I’m using to light our dining room table. It is unique in that it has a number of features that are quite nice and its physical appearance is really different from much of what you might find on Amazon and beyond. PROS: The light is housed in a half-shell of wood, very low profile with excellent super thin and straight cables that connect the unit to the ceiling element. We very much like that you really don’t see this fixture during the day as it is quite streamlined. We have a open floor plan, thus did not want a heavy fixture hanging over our dining room table. As for the other features, it has its own remote which works well, is well laid out and is also streamline. In addition, there is an App for this light that works equally well; it took no time to install the app and it is nice to have the ability to control the fixture from my phone. The cables holding the fixture are super fine and hang perfectly straight (e.g. no bends, no kinks, etc.). They are highly adjustable depending on your tastes for how high or low you wish to hang the light. One of the cables contains the electrical connection; the other is just to hold one end of the light up. The light produced reaches both ends of our 78” dining room table. CONS: for the average person, hanging this light will prove challenging if not completely frustrating. I am pretty handy and after seeing the challenges of how the fixture is intended to connect to the ceiling, I “Macgyver’d” it and it worked out just fine. But if you are not creative and intend to use only what the manufacturer has provided, be prepared to face some challenges. The connection to the ceiling is just not that well thought out. I had to add make a number of adjustments to get it to attach and hang perfectly. It worked out but I thought, if the average joe with few tools is trying to hang this, yikes!. I am not a fan of the “block” that the fixtures uses to attach to the ceiling; it is chunky especially compared to the super streamline appearance of the light fixture itself. That said, it is tolerable and does provide ample space inside to hide the wiring and excess cable. Lastly on the CONS list is the actual light quality. The fixture is LED and does include both its own dimming control as well as color temperature control. However, as is true with the vast majority of LED lighting right now (IMO), the color temperature and overall light quality needs to get better. LED lighting tends to be more blue versus warm. You cannot achieve a warm halogen-like color temp (3,000k) with this unit and certainly not anything close to the 2,700k mark of warmer light. Thus, I am not thrilled with the color temp but much like most LED lighting, it’s a give and take: very low wattage consumed, always stays cool to the touch and can fit into tiny fixtures like this one. But you give up “light quality” and to be frank, it is rare to find an LED fixture right now that has good light quality. It will get there but we are not there yet. Overall, we kept this light and enjoy it daily. Maybe one day I will take it apart and put my own LED strip inside that has the right color temp and light quality. For now, we are happy with it as is.

I love this pendant light. It is hung over my dining room table and is simple and elegant. The remote control with multiple options is kind of a pain--who needs that many options--and is more than most people would need/want. But that is a small issue. I'm very happy with this purchase and the price is outstanding.

I bought this chandelier after searching everywhere. I was looking for something simple and match with my dining room. I think this was the best choice. The brightness is just downward. The ceiling wouldn’t get any light. The brightness is just on your table. But it’s beautiful. I recommend it good quality. It has remote control. You can choose the color. You like the value was good for me because I bought it on Amazon prime day It was easy, assemble .

Light is very pretty but completely not working. Remote will not synch with the light and nothing is working. Amazon page says contact seller if there is a problem, but there is no contact information or email address. Very very disappointing.

Relatively easy install, sleek look, quality build. Looks great in my mostly mid century modern dining room. The height adjustment could be better. I have a similar one in my kitchen that works with spring loaded rollers, you just pull or push to raise or lower. This one requires locking screws, which is a bit tedious, but I still love the light.
