big and sturdy. Just as heavy duty as they need to be. The pin on the chain for safety is great. Otherwise any speaker would be too heavy for the stands. Would be nice to have had a carrying case but the price was pretty good and probably not enough margin in the price to include a case.

These stands are by far the best ones for your money. They are very well made, light weight very easy to unfold and fold out to be used and stored. The height can be adjusted without much force. I would highly recommend these to someone who is looking for a set.

2 speaker stands for under $50. Can’t beat it

The stands are built with very poor quality materials. I know from past experience that speaker stands are notorious for their clamping mechanisms failing due to low grade metals used in construction. These stands are no different. As the top section telescopes up to raise the speaker high, the clamping mechanism is what holds it in place with that weight on top. I was super super careful not to over tighten the screws on the clamping mechanism on these stands, yet they failed before I even had a chance to use them out on gigs. Now I’ve had to drill and insert pins through the tubing to keep the stands in full extension. I really wish they would just charge me an extra $10 and use materials that are up to the job!
