This is the second security camera I've purchased, and it's a significant upgrade! My first experience was with a Blink camera, which was a decent entry-level option, but the monthly fees were a downside. What I immediately loved about this camera is that it doesn't require any monthly subscription. I've always been intrigued by 360 cameras but wasn't sure which one to choose. When this one popped up as a Black Friday deal, I jumped at the chance, and I'm so glad I did. The installation was straightforward, with easy-to-follow instructions. It connects to Wi-Fi effortlessly, making setup a breeze. I had it professionally mounted on the side of my house, and the image quality is excellent. The audio is also clear, making it a high-quality camera overall. The fact that there's no mandatory monthly fee is a huge plus, though there's an option to upgrade if desired. Video storage is handled locally on the camera. It's important to note that motion detection recordings, such as people approaching or cars stopping by, are automatically deleted after 24 hours. While you can purchase additional storage if you need to keep videos longer, I personally find the 24-hour storage sufficient for my needs. I'm comfortable with the videos disappearing unless there's a specific recording I want to save or download. For those seeking a simple, reliable camera to monitor their front door or home, I highly recommend this one. The solar panel feature is a game-changer. No need to worry about changing batteries or complicated wiring, as it charges itself continuously.

Absolutely Love my new eufy camera, I now have 3 and they are functioning perfectly, no more monthly or yearly payments. All videos stored on my HomeBase 3.,easy access to all my footage. Lovecthe 360 views. two of them have color night vision. So glad I found these. Highly recommend these ,almost forgot the INCLUDED solar panels keep my cameras 100% Fully charged. No need to take them down to recharge. Excellent Quality Products ,Easy to install too. Everything you need is included in the package.

I had been searching a subscription-free security system for a longtime. I learned about Eufy's systems from my daughter. I read the review and chose the wireless system vs the wired system. I don't mind working around my house, but I refuse to crawl in the attic to connect the wired system. Installing the wireless was easy, just had to used an extension ladder two of the cameras. All the cameras work great as well as the clarity of the pictures from the cameras. Great product!!! Good value for the money.

These cameras are pretty good. Good clarity, good tracking, not too sensitive or lacking sensitivity. Picks up wildlife around my property when I have animal detection turned on. Human tracking is ideal. I do recommend following the installation instructions and mount the camera(s) so they detect at an angle. Head on monitoring doesn't always pick up a person approaching the house. Easy setup and if you need a larger amount of storage, purchase the Home Base. Battery life is good. The solar panels recharge the batteries well. The only downfall I have found is that when viewing Live View, there is an annoying pop-up every couple of minutes causing you to either keep live view going or cancel live viewing. I rely heavily on live view and I monitor my battery level so I don't need a pop-up that cancels the live view if you don't choose to continue it. I have sent a suggestion to the manufacturer explaining my issue. I think (I'm no pro at how this all works) it may just be a programming change in software (app). We'll see. Anyway, aside from that, I would recommend the to someone looking for good PTZ, solar charged security cameras.

These are great cameras! Easy to install and set up, no subscription required, and they have been up fivemonths without problem. The solar panels seem to charge them very effectively, only needing to charge about every three days, and you can track that through the app very easily. These have pretty much every feature you could want in a home security camera. The one feature I wish they did have ( and could probably be added later through firmware update, hint hint Eufy) is the ability to have the cameras scan an area regularly. You can set a default position and multiple additional views in the app, but have to switch between them manually. It is great that I can view recorded clips and live footage from anywhere very easily and everything is stored locally at my home with no subscription. AI features are good and constantly improving as well.

I wanted a self directed camera system. So far so good. Tons of app settings. You can change recording lengths. Motion following. 7 GBs of internal storage that can be transferred to your own drives. Optional alarm sounds and strobe light (alarm is too loud, use the light). You can talk through the camera to speak to intruders or your own family. Hopefully the solar works well but I need more time to find out. You cannot setup auto cloud storage and the device will delete old videos when it reaches capacity, but it has a solid built in storage capacity. Overall, it’s a very capable security camera at a low price point for a DIY unit. I am likely buying more after I see how well the solar panel charges it.

Very happy with this SoloCam. So far, it is working great and the clarity of the video is fantastic. Easy to set up and had no real issues adding it with the Homebase 3. Has great coverage and zoom feature is stellar. Many features once it is hooked up with the homebase, too. Solar panel looks nice, but it hasn't charge the battery in the camera at the time of this review. Might have to adjust it if battery falls below 90%. AI tracking is spot on. At this time, everything seems to function well. Will be keeping an eye on the solar charging, but for now it is worth the price paid. Update: After 7 days, the battery is now being charged by solar panel. Seems to take some time in the winter, especially in the northern states.

I have used the s40 solar cameras for a number of years and have generally had good experiences with eufy products. I was excited when this went on sale but it's not exactly what I was expecting. Pros: video quality is very good, the ability to pan and tilt is awesome, has slightly further motion detection range compared to my other eufy cameras, app is responsive, good night vision Cons: -My biggest gripe is that the effective viewing angle when using the zoom lens is very limited. When the zoom lens is activated I can barely see the end of my driveway and can only zoom in on subjects that are fairly close. IMO the whole point of being able to zoom is to be able to see further away. The engineers have designed the lens at the wrong angle to be very useful so I only use the 1x lens 100% of the time. -Second big flaw is that there doesn't appear to be an option to disable motion detection for passing vehicles. Deselecting vehicles in the settings only disables getting notifications from vehicles but the camera still records every vehicle passing by at night which drains the battery. The only option is to set an activity zone that disables all motion detection from the street. I bought the camera to monitor people stealing from my mailbox, with the 3x camera I cannot even see my mailbox because the angle is wrong even though I have the camera mounted very high at the ridge line of my roof. Every morning I see dozens of motion events from passing vehicles which cannot be disabled. If it weren't for these two issues, these cameras would be incredible for the price.
