Q: Is this compatible with magnetic induction stoves? Thanks!

Sorry...no it isn't. I just tried the magnet test and the magnet did not stick to it.

Q: When do you put the cover on? At beginning of cooking or after it is done?

I put it on while cooking to keep the heat in and get it to boil faster. Then I use it to poor the water out to drain.

Q: Does this have a disc on the bottom, or is it sealed all the way around the pot ("triclad")? Thanks!

It does have a disc on the bottom of the pot with their brand name on it, but it does appear to Be completely sealed. I don't believe this is an issue and it really is a great pot. I would not hesitate to get it
