180g virgin vinyl limited edition, the complete album. Renowned for his raw, blistering vocals and high-voltage guitar playing, the great Buddy Guy has remained a vital and current musician, moving blues forward without losing sight of its roots. He was a primary influence on blues-rock titans like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, as well as a pioneer of Chicago's fabled West Side sound, and a living link to that city's halcyon days of electric blues. This album presents him singing and playing some of his greatest hits backed by such outstanding figures as Junior Wells, Otis Rush, and Willie Dixon. "Buddy Guy was for me what Elvis was probably like for other people... My course was set, and he was my pilot." - Eric Clapton

I heard you the first time
You got the blues, I have got the blues listening again and again, you got the blues and again infinitum and all on the one track. Some blues hit the spot when reiterating the why and wherefores of their hard times and it is powerful. I like the blues ' the history of lives lived' the powerful emotions of the music but I got a bit tired of some of Buddy's keeping it basic and i know he got the blues' no doubts about that but only that. On the other hand some tracks are worth the price of the album on their own so pretty happy with my got the blues vinyl but not completely blues happy.
