Flash charges every time camera turns on, does not hold flash settings between uses
This camera is great for being able to be powered off AA batteries and takes decent pictures. My biggest issue with it is it does not save many of the photo settings including flash mode, and the default is for the flash to be on every time you turn on the camera. Since I bought this as a camera to keep in my car for work purposes, on cold days even fresh batteries have issues charging the flash. So keep an extra set of batteries in your camera case and you may find you need to put the batteries in your pocket to warm up before using in the camera in cold environments.

Worst Camera I have ever seen
This is without a doubt the worst camera ever. I bought it because I wanted to help Kodak but I guess Kodak doesn't exist anymore. I take a picture and the camera shuts down. I load new batteries and the camera takes one picture and shuts down. I try to download pictures and there aren't any there. I put in new batteries and it tells me they are drained. This company should be banned from Amazon.

Good value
The Kodak Pixpro FZ45 is a good value. It's mainly to replace my failing Nikon point and shoot, whereas, the flash intermittently would fail. Tapping the side would restore it therefore something inside the body probably was cracked/broken from years of hard use. Nothing bad to report. The resolution is the same as the mentioned other brand and acceptable for this price range. It's only noticeable after taking pictures and down loading to a PC then zooming in with a photo program, etc. The *huge* part and advantage is the battery is made up of two AA cells. That was the main reason for my purchase these last two cameras. The third one I have uses the usual Li type which is poor in cold Wx, such as out on the winter trails. Each camera is similar to control locations, it's just a learning curve to fine-tune what you want to do. And of course, RTFM ! I have not tested this FZ45 in low-light conditions. Most of my pictures is for communications site equipment documentation.

basic cheap camera
Very lightweight, cheap, plastic camera, but purchased for someone who'll likely end up losing it. Picture quality OK.
