This book makes you excited for life
Have you ever stumbled upon a book that felt like it was literally buzzing with energy?Reading this book, I could feel the author's own zest for life leaping off the pages.Everything feels so easy, do this, stick with it and watch your life completely transform. What I really appreciate is the variety of techniques. It's like a buffet of happiness techniques. While the techniques can seem simple (which is great!) there is nuance and depth to the hormones, and what to do about them. Not everyone needs the same thing, it is dependent on their context - sometimes its opposite advice which he gives examples of.In the end, you get to pick and choose what suits you and your life best. But it’s hard to choose! From every chapter, every neurotransmitter, I want to put down the book and start a habit out of it right away. David guides you on where to start, making the overwhelming feel doable, for example with the stress map exercise. And the stories from the his life? There’s a palpable vulnerability and raw honesty in some of them that has stuck in my memory. He does something with his writing that I appreciate.Everything is nice and easy when you are high, but to get high naturally? This book makes that feel easyIt’s a gem, something to come back to again and again

Life Passe-partout!
Since i have read the first chapter, my life became brighter and full of more fun moments. The book, in a very enjoyable manner, provides perspectives on how our chemistry can transform our mindset and life.It now makes sense, what my chemistry professors were saying many years ago, that “our body and mind is pure chemistry”!The examples, on the chapters, make it visible on how every hormone works and how we can master them, to create magic around us.Reading the book, it is a exiting process of accumulating, absorbing, and applying of this knowledge. It is a perfect gift to friends and people around us.Thanks a lot @David JP Phillips for this "life passe-partout".

Simple, practical, and life-changing
High on Life" is a refreshing guide that brings a new perspective on achieving well-being and vitality. The author's approach to harnessing the power of six key hormones is both enlightening and practical. I appreciated how the book emphasizes natural methods to revolutionize oneself, steering away from quick fixes or artificial enhancements. Each chapter is well-organized, providing clear explanations and actionable steps that anyone can incorporate into their daily routine. After reading this book, I feel empowered and inspired to take charge of my health and happiness. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a holistic approach to living their best life!

How to revolutionise yourself = an autobiography
As a big fan of David JP Phillips I dived into this book with great excitement. He had inspired me about public speaking and confidence in general, and I was keen to learn more. I read the early book reviews, and had high hopes for High on Life…And then it hit me after a couple of pages. 20 Euros (expensive book, now reduced) down the drain. Another self-help, your keys to saviour = autobiographic tale of personal suffering and how the author coped, in his Manor House, with personal staff and island retreats.Maybe I am the wrong audience here, as I have no staff, no bath tub (spoiler: ice baths along with meditation are the main routes to get high on life) and I have no budget for the means it takes to be like D JP.If you can find solutions to your stress, anxiety, depression here through an Angel‘s Cocktail (the super idea that the survival of this book clings to) then I wish you well. For me, I go back to the YouTube archives for what made me admire this truly talented individual rather than an autobiography I didn’t wish to read.
