Baja Gold is hands down one of the best salts I’ve used
Baja Gold is hands down one of the best salts I’ve used—natural, clean, and packed with minerals your body actually wants. It’s not just salt; it’s the good stuff, straight from the Sea of Cortez, with over 90 trace minerals still intact. No bleach, no additives, just real salt the way nature intended. When it comes to flavor, it makes everything taste better. Seriously—veggies, grilled meats, even simple eggs pop with more depth. It’s got that kind of rich, slightly briny taste that makes regular table salt feel flat and boring. What really sets it apart, though, is how useful it is beyond cooking. I’ve been mixing a pinch into water for an easy electrolyte drink—way more natural (and honestly, more effective) than most store-bought sports drinks. Plus, it’s lower in sodium than regular salt, so it’s a smart swap if you’re trying to keep that in check. If you’re into real food and clean ingredients, Baja Gold is totally worth it. Once you try it, it’s hard to go back to the cheap stuff.

Really good salt with a really good flavor
This salt tastes different from traditional salt. It's more of a moist, fluffy consistency and has a rich flavor similar to the salt on ballpark pretzels. I add 1/4 teaspoon to a bottle of water each morning for minerals and hydration. There may be other salts out there similar in mineral value but this one is really good. Even though the price is a bit higher than others, it doesn't take much to really add flavor.

Love this mineral salt
Is fine and easy to sprinkle on food, has a way better taste than just plain table salt. Even my husband admitted to that. We have enjoyed this with meals and started for the mineral content and will continue using this long term.

Superb salt
This salt is amazing!!! I use Celtic and Baja salt to get the minerals into my body. I put a pinch in my water and use this to season my food and the flavor is excellent. I actually prefer this over traditional Celtic salt. It’s mineral dense and in my opinion it’s worth the price.

Exceptional Flavor, Premium Price
Baja Gold Mineral Salt stands out as a premium finishing salt, delivering a depth of flavor that's hard to match with conventional sea salt. Harvested from the pristine waters of the Sea of Cortez, it retains its natural trace minerals, which contribute not just to the taste but also to its health benefits. The flavor is slightly briny with subtle mineral undertones, making it an excellent choice for enhancing everything from grilled meats and roasted vegetables to fresh salads and even desserts like dark chocolate or caramel. The texture is also a highlight—it’s soft yet substantial, allowing for easy pinching and sprinkling without the harsh crunch of some larger grain salts. Whether used during cooking or as a finishing touch, it brings a noticeable boost to the overall profile of a dish. In particular, its use in simple recipes really allows its complexity to shine, which makes it a favorite for chefs who value high-quality ingredients. The only drawback is the price point. Baja Gold is undeniably more expensive than standard sea salts or even many gourmet alternatives. While the flavor and mineral content justify the cost to some degree, it may not be practical for everyday use in large quantities. That said, for those who prioritize clean, vibrant flavor and are willing to invest a bit more, it’s a worthy addition to the pantry. Four stars for excellent quality with a slight deduction due to cost.

A better Salt for you...
This Salt is not only better for you but taste great. If you use the 'YUKA' App for checking products and what is in them, this salt gets a 50 out of 100, whereas Pink and Kosher gets a 40 out of 100. The only disadvantage to this type of salt is they cannot be used in a standard saltshaker due to the moisture in the salt. You will need to use a salt dish.

Healthier Option & Worth the Price
This salt has a lower sodium content and a much higher mineral content than regular salt - it's clearly a healthier option over traditional salt. While it's a bit more expensive, I think it's worth the extra money. The only negative I have is its higher moisture content - this is a finely ground salt and will clog up most saltshakers. Larger hole shakers or those with a large opening that allows you to insert a small measuring spoon works better (results will vary). I'm pleased with this purchase and will buy this again.
