Works as it should
I was afraid that when I got the service 4WD light my jeep was done for. After a bit of research I decided to try and replace this part first and try to save myself several hundred dollars. So glad I did! This part fits like OEM and performs (so far) just as well. Installation was a breeze, and while I'd say I'm somewhat handier than your average bear I'm NOT mechanically inclined.

Part No# Exactly what was needed!
We took a chance. Buying this transfer case fit my husband's 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee the 074AA is the replacement for the original part 05150732AE. Original part at auto part stores like Napa, Autozone or Ebay were $100-300 more. We did some miminal research on Google stating the part 074AA was the newer replacement number. Much cheaper thru Amazon! I just wish I didn't wait so long to buy it. Easily installs under drivers seat.Just do your research.

Don't waste your time or money.
Our transfer case went out on our Durango. We went to the Dealership and had a new transfer case installed. $3,600. Our Durango ran great but the dealership recommended replacing the control module. They wanted $400. I found this one for 25% of that. After I installed it and went for the first drive the brand new transfer case locked itself into 4Low and wouldn't go back into the AWD. After paying another $100 we had it towed back to the dealership. It turns out the module was coded for a SRT Grand Cherokee and destroyed our brand new transfercase. We ended up lucky getting the new transfer case replaced under warranty but I had to pay another $1000 in labour. Then it took almost a month to get refunded back the money for the bad Module. They did send up another module but it too was bad and would even communicate with our Durango. We ended up spending the $400 for a factory module and now everything is fine. Just spend the money up front and buy factory parts. We are now out the extra $1,000 and we're out our car for an additional 45 days because of this bad product.

Jeep Grand Cherokee - 4x4 system failed, this fixed it
My 2014 Grand Cherokee 4x4 system wasn't working. The selector knob wouldn't do anything (not even light up) and after years driving flawlessly all winter I could barely get the car to move during light snow. I did some research that led me to transfer case computer failure, so I bought this and plugged it in. The selector knob immediately lit up and started working and I could select all modes. I could hear 4x4 Low engage and feel difference driving, but haven't been able to test in snow/ice to see if 4x4 works like it used to.

Works on 2014 Grand Cherokee Limited 3.6 V6
Service 4wd light on, Dealer Wanted $1700 and two weeks (Part not in stock) to replace this! Took 15 minutes to do it myself! Just unplug the negative battery terminal under the front passenger seat with a 10mm wrench, pull out and unplug this computer from under the driver seat and replace it, plug battery terminal back on and that's it!
