This product is one of three weed barriers for a new outdoor project. Four weeks later, I 'm happy (1 weed).

I am using this as a mowing strip between the lawn and gardens to deter grass from growing into the gardens. The color stands out and so when spring comes, I plan to spray it with a dark brown mulch dye so that it looks more natural.

This coco fiber mulch mat by Eazy2hD is made well, and you get a generous amount. I love how sustainable coco coir, chips and fiber are, so I use them in as many ways as I can in my garden. In this case, it's great for helping to retain moisture and keep the weeds down in between rows in my raised beds. My only concern is that the product listing doesn't say whether the coco fiber has been rinsed, or how thoroughly during manufacturing. That can be an issue in the garden because coco fiber can have a high saline level from the way it is processed. It's an extra step to rinse it well before using it. Salt interferes with plant growth and at a high enough level can kill plants. Otherwise, this is a good product and a good value.

I'm using this as a removable/ reusable mulch layer on potted plants.. I've used this product from other manufacturers in the past. I always found that thickness and overall quality after being cut led to it falling apart..I am using this in an unconventional way. I take it out of the pot once or twice a month when top dressing.. Always led to the previous product falling apart.I have not had this product long so I cant review on longevity... I can how ever tell there is a major difference in thickness as well as major difference in compaction compared to the previous stuff I was using.. If this company has a wider mat. I'll be purchasing so I can cut a full circle to fill my pot.
