Forty years ago I was using witch hazel for pore tightening, skin cleansing and soothing, and it's still being used in lots of modern products for the same things, so maybe there's something in it?This serum claims to be able to help with minimising pore size and 'keratotic plugs' (blackheads, yeuk) which is what I want. The serum is quite thin - a little thicker than water but not by much, and you put a drop or two on the face then 'press and massage gently' - that's probably enough for a nose, but you'll need to repeat on forehead, chin and cheeks if you need to so you'll use a lot more in one use. The listing and packaging makes all the usual claims about being free from parabens, not tested on animals, SLS free, pH balanced, suitable for all skin types, hypo allergenic and Vegan, which is all very well, but does it work? The short answer is that I don't know.The listing says to use for a month to see a real difference but it may take as long as two months - that's quite a long time to wait.At £16.99 for 30ml (as at 12 August 2023) that seems about the right price to pay for a serum, but plain old witch hazel is way cheaper. It's worth a go, maybe the extra ingredients will elevate this above witch hazel on its own.

It doesn't make any difference unfortunately, has been a waste of money

Been trying all sorts of creams, lotions and clay products to help teens ache breakouts. Apart from a clay product that works well, this has now become one of my son’s favourites. As it is less messy to use, and quick to apply and dry. Does not need to be washed off. First applied it on some very large nasty ache lumps that were getting painful and wouldn’t go away. So using on the first night before bedtime. Next morning it had excelled the process of bringing it out to a head, and relieved the pain. 2nd use, it was already clearing and by the 4th day gone. That was on his back. So then tried on his chin and he now loves this stuff. Done the same thing. Brought all the long lingering worst area out quickly, then started to heal and clear. I wish he would let me take pics to show before and after. (But he is a teen and having none of that lol). His skin is also very sensitive and a lot of products burn him. So we tried this on small patch areas first. Before proceeding to smoother his back and chin in it. Also worth repeating, that it drys very quickly for him to put his top back on. No creaming, sticky or greasy feeling left. I tried it on the back of my hand and it felt moisturising to my surprise. I thought it would of felt drying or tight once dried. Been using on my son at night before bedtime. Highly recommend so far, and I’ll be buying more when needed. It looks a small bottle but will last a long time. The application draw up vial makes it easy to use with less mess, than tipping the liquid runny product out the bottle on its own. Just syringe straight onto fingers or hand, and rub straight onto the area of skin that needs it applied to.I know this product is described at minimising pores. But as a quick simple to use, and less evasive product to help a teens worst ache. This stuff is amazing in our findings so far. Especially this the hospital told us not to waste our money on buying products that just won’t work. As it’s just his testosterone and puberty age. But tell that to a fussy teenager, who won’t go out unless he looks his best.

I wanted to try this out as soon as I saw the mention of keratotic plugs on the product photos since other serums I've tried never address that particular issue unless we talk about physical or chemical exfoliators.The little keratin plugs have ruined my skin since I always pick on them since they won't go away on their own, which then also makes the skin look leathery and pores to appear large.How do I know this serum is working? Because I haven't had much to pick whenever I inspect my skin up close and there are a lot less bumps I can feel when washing or otherwise feeling the skin on my face.The before and after photos are about 2 weeks apart, using this serum once, sometimes twice a day and skipped some days because of using retinol etc. When I compare the photos the pores look cleaner and less grey and the cleaner pores have also resulted in less breakouts.The serum is lightweight and doesn't leave a residue or any feeling on the skin when fully absorbed, just a healthy glow.I still get clogged pores in certain areas and some keratotic plugs but so much less than before, I am very hopeful about this product and will very likely buy a new bottle to continue the improvements, would suggest trying this out if your skin over-produces keratin.
