Orange Fire Blanket

These fire blankets are very nice. The package that the blanket stays in until used is very nice, and the color stands out if you are looking for it under your sink or wherever you put it or store it. I have not had to use my actual fire blanket yet, so I can't say how it will do, but I have no reason to believe that it won't work well. The price for this order is extremely good, and I am very happy with the bargain that I feel I got on these blankets. I gifted these as Christmas presents to other family members and kept one for myself. It makes a weird but good "stocking stuffer" for your adult children who live on their own.

My concerns were that the cloth might be too thin or of a smaller dimension than stated. My order was for the Orange 4 pack and actual measurements were 39"x40". These have a nice hem on each side so the measurements would have been greater before sewing the hem. The pull tabs are secured well and do appear to be treated with flame retardant. Under the flame of a lighter they would char to ash but not flame up or melt. Pulling the tabs briefly detached the blanket clear from the package in a clean manner. This is dependent upon the grommet end being securely anchored. It still would not take much to remove the blanket even if it wasn't anchored but not as quickly. There is enough material to wrap ones face and shoulders and much of the upper body if exiting a fire scene but obviously not enough for a full body wrap. It would have as much coverage as I was hoping for. The 4 pack was a better deal for me as I wanted one for my truck, one for my car, one for the kitchen as well as one for the garage. You may wish you had one to give away when you discover how comforting it is to have one of these available. The first thing you'll think of is encouraging your grown children to have them in their homes. A very good deal on a product I hope to never need but the comfort has already made it worth the $30 purchase price!

I have not used however for my laser it will work and not put chemical in my laser

So I had a chance to try this fire blanket today and it's successfully put out a very small fire caused by a piece of parchment paper in the oven on a cookie sheet touching the element and catching on fire nothing I really needed the blanket for but it was there and I figured I'd try it. Just an FYI the blanket sheds fibers pretty badly if there's a bad fire and you need to put it out definitely worth it My tiny parchment paper fire was not worth the how much my hands and arms itch like crazy right now from touching the blanket.

Given as Christmas gifts for home and car.

Thankfully I haven’t had to use one yet but I am prepared in case. Bought one for all my kids as well. Seems to be of good quality. If I ever have to use it, I will come back and let you know how it worked!
