CamelBak Mini M.U.L.E. Kids 50oz Hydration Reservoir Hike and Bike Backpack

Our family enjoys hiking together, and we recently got the CamelBak Mini M.U.L.E. for our youngest (6yr old). It’s the perfect size for him and holds just the right amount of water for our hikes. The pouch is also a great size for him to carry a slim snack, which is very convenient. The backpack is well-made and comfortable for him to wear. Overall, it’s been a fantastic addition to our hiking gear, and we highly recommend it for young outdoor enthusiasts!

Our daughter is in a mountain biking class and this has allowed her to stay on the trails during class to hydrate rather than leave class to get water, be thirsty on a trail ride or just complain about being thirsty! She is 5 and this fits her well! Even our three year old son loves to wear it every now and then and surprisingly it fits him decently! Good quality and size for a kid

These CamelBak for kids are a godsend! We are an incredibly active family, and while on hikes or bike rides, my kids want to have access to *easy* water. Forget water bottles - they wanted what daddy had! I purchased 2 and they fit both my 7 year old (who is the size of a 4 year old) and my 11 year old! They comfortably sit on their backs and they don’t cause any rubbing at all. They don’t weigh a ton, and are easy for my kids to carry on their own. The color is to die for - it’s perfect for gender neutral! The bag also opens up and can store some snacks (and let’s be honest - a pop it or three), along with the bladder of water. We have adult Camelbaks, so we knew we could trust the brand. I ended up getting them on sale for about 50% off, and it was worth EVERY penny! I’d definitely recommend grabbing one of these for your active kiddo! They will stop stealing our water and have their own! :)

I purchased one of these for each of my kids (ages 5, 6 and 8) to help keep their hands free on hikes. (I previously had them use straps for water bottles, but they were always clanging around and in the way) They fit perfectly, carry more than enough water and also have enough space for snacks and other items (bandaids, binoculars, etc) One downside is that two of the three were leaking where the hose connects to the bladder. I just removed the hose, trimmed the end and reconnected it and that solved the problem.

Good and compact bag i brought this for my wife even tho its for kids. Its small size and light weight is great for kids and small adults only thing its missing or could make it better is to have a cover on the end where you drink from.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: We don’t do a lot of hiking and I don’t have much experience to compare this to. I chose this one because my son loved the flame on it. It works perfect and he loved wearing it, being able to be hands free and stay hydrated. No complaints of weight or discomfort. It was the perfect size for our hikes with room to add a few small snacks and toys. Seems durable easy to fill. Relatively easy to clean. Is there a quick way to dry these out?? I’ll need to google bc I was nervous about it getting moldy while in our suitcase traveling home. Child in photo is 54”, size 8.

Bought my kiddo her own hiking bag. She loves having access to water when she wants it and not having to stop for a drink. She even stuffs a few small snacks in it!

The backpacks are great for little going on hikes. They love having their own water and snacks. HOWEVER, the initial bladders on both packs leaked. Camelbak does have a lifetime warranty as long as the seller is amazon or camelbak. We got replacements with different valves on them and they work perfectly.

My son is 4, 43 inches tall at 45lbs. This pack is a great fit for him. He brings it to his hour long biking classes and wears it the whole time. I don’t fill the water bladder all the way up to keep weight down. The small pockets are great for holding his gloves and small snacks. A very “packable” jacket may fit in the pack but definitely not a standard jacket; don’t plan on packing extra clothes in this beyond a pair of socks. This pack has a chest strap, an added waist strap would be nice but it’s pretty stable without it. If you want your little ripper to have easy access to water and to help carry his very basic necessities this will do it.
