Franklin Sensors ProSensor M10 Stud Finder
I've used this twice to find studs behind the wall and both times it worked for me. This does not find electrical wires, so to play it safe i cut the power to the room i was working in temporarily & used my trusty portable lamp to see what the hay i was doing while drilling/cutting. Made in USA and great value. Found the middle of the wood stud easily/accurately both times that i used it. Incredibly pleased.

Simple
It was nice not to guess if I hit the center of the stud as I hung my new 75" T.V. Very easy to use and took all the questions out. Inexpensive, too.

Favorite studfinder
We live in an 80s house that has gone through a lot of owners and tenants throughout its lifetime. Changing hands has led to random remodels that mean the studs aren’t all spaced exactly the same. This stud finder works great for locating everything I need, and I’ve tried several. I’ve used to install a Jeep hoist, board and batten paneling, baseboards, an IKEA closet system, and random heavier decor that won’t survive on a drywall anchor. My only complaint is that it is a bit fragile for something you’ll be using during handiwork - if you drop from a few feet up, it will break. This is my 2nd purchase to replace the dropped one.

USELESS
Bought this to avoid studs/wires/pipes so I can hang shelves in my apartment. This thing is so inaccurate it's ridiculous. It lights up erratically and did not detect a stud behind 1/2 drywall--what a joke!! Even after I drilled the hole and hit solid matter, it did not detect anything behind the hole.Unfortunately I'm using it now after the return window. I've used several stud finders before over the years and this one has to be the most inconsistent and useless I've used.
