I purchased this specifically for coffee bean storage. I already owned the vacuum so I thought I would give the cube a try. Comparing it to a couple of other much more expensive vacuum canister alternatives, this provides equal if not better fresh storage, but also at a much more affordable price. The Zwilling App is also super handy. I can keep a record of what I’m storing along with specific information about the coffee, dates, etc. I would highly recommend getting the matching sleeve to go along with the cube. Not only will it protect your precious beans from harmful light, but will also provide a nice security blanket for your cube, protecting it from scratches and other damage. I have had no cracking issues. I did have an issue with the vacuum seal not sealing properly. That was easily corrected by removing the lid gasket, cleaning it and reinstalling it. I had accidentally gotten it slightly dirty. Overall, super happy with this canister. I’m looking forward to picking up at least two or three more.

These containers are shipped with a faulty silicone plug in the center of the lid (where you put the vacuum punp) After a couple hours, the vacuum seal breaks and it is due to the silicone stopper. I know this because I have their other product... glass containers that are suitable for refridgerator, microwave, etc.... and have exchanged the stoppers and they worked prefectly. The stoppers on these 2 products are different. I have called Zwilling customer service to see if I could PURCHASE replacement stoppers (didn't ask for anything free) and their response is that they do not sell that part... only thing to do is exchange the entire item! (If it can still be returned). What happens in a year or two if that small piece gets lost? (they pop out easily). So here is hoping Amazon will allow me to return this flawed product. They are not inexpensive, but I thought might be worth the expense if they worked well. Also, I had to call Zwilling. I first tried to email them, but no response. Customer service is just a telephone operator that kicks the can down the road. I'd not purchase again... sad that i got suckered for over $300 purchasing these faulty items.

Absolutely love the vacuum seal containers. It keeps everything fresher longer. It’s worth the money you spend!

I got one hoping to use it with FoodSaver 31161370 Cordless Food Vacuum Sealer. I like the way it looks, the way it stacks, the way the cover goes on and off, and the way the gasket comes off for easy cleaning. Unfortunately, the FoodSaver Sealer was just a tiny bit too big to fit in the depression around the valve and would not draw a vacuum. I bought 3 Pieces 3.93 Inch Silicone Coasters, Round Coasters for Drinks, Beverage Coffee Tea Coaster (White Translucent) Brand: ONLYKXY, which fits perfectly and cut a round hole in the center that's slightly bigger than the valve. Works great! I will be buying more of these containers in other sizes. I haven't had this one long enough to know if it will have the cracking others have noticed but I'm going to give it a try. The cracking won't bother me as long as the vacuum continues to work. Note: this small container will only hold around 160g of beans. To hold a full 12 oz bag, get the 0.875qt container

Love these small containers to store my spices - the vacuum seal keeps them fresher so much longer especially because my spices can sit unused for some time it’s great knowing the air is not degrading them.

*UPDATE* After using these for a few months they don’t seem to be holding their seal. I have been carefully cleaning the inside lip and seals to ensure a solid seal but the problem seems to be the rubber part of the valve on top. I think they get stretched out and weaken their seal. It seems to be ok for a day (maybe two) but after that they let all the air in. Rating reduced to 2 stars. They’re actually worse than my non-vacuum containers now, at least those don’t continuously let stale air into the contents. Disappointed Zwilling. *UPDATE* I have a non Zwilling vacuum bag sealer with a container attachment. It works perfectly so far with these despite what they say. (I know they want to sell their own pump) I primarily use the 2S containers for use with espresso and regular coffee beans. The 2S is the perfect size for what’s left after one use of a 12oz bag of beans. In my experience the oils from coffee beans tend to gum up and discolor the rubber seals on storage containers so we’ll see how these do. Only time will tell and I plan on updating this review. I will say they are very nice quality and seem to be well made. The clear plastic of the container is nice and thick. I most likely will add the optional rubber sleeve to keep sunlight out and help protect the container as well.

this are the best container i have never purchased. high quality material and tight seal. LOVE IT! i owned OXO , and other brands but this is way better thicker and more superior quality

I have, I think, almost two dozen Zwilling vacuum seal containers of various types and sizes, as well as a wide assortment of bags. I love them! I've reused the bags repeatedly, and in the past 6 months since I started using Zwilling's products I haven't had to throw out a single bag. Compared with Food Saver reusable bags, which I have to dwindling supply of, which regularly get tossed. I do have one of these Cube storage containers that has never been able to hold a seal. And, before sealing, the gasket must be perfectly clean and dry! They're not perfect. On the other hand, I dropped a larger glass container on my tile floor and it survived without even a mark!

La calidad de los materiales es excelente, las paredes son gruesas y la silicona de los sellos tiene una sensación de silicona de alta calidad y mantiene el vacío sin problema, solo debes de cuidar: 1- los alimentos que tienen a fermentar y/o calientes o tibios, ya que generan vapor y/o gases y por lo mismo hacen que se iguale la presión interna con la externa (lo que se traduce en la pérdida del vacío) 2- que el bordo del recipiente (que toca con los empaques de la tapa) estén limpios por que de lo contrario puede generar microscópicas filtraciones que después de unos días hace que pierda el vacio (me pasó cuando guardé un preparado de sal, quedó sal en el borde, y la pérdida de vacío se solucionó limpiando la sal residual del borde del recipiente)

Ne fonctionne pas toujours J'ai acheté plusieurs de ces contenants très couteux surtout si on considère l'achat de la pompe aspirateur. Malheureusement, dès l'achat, 1 sur 10 ne reste pas sous vide malgré que j'ai suivi toutes les recommandations de Zwelling. J'ai même complété l'achat avec des diffuseurs cubes croyant que le problème pouvait venir d'aliments trop fins comme le cacao. Je nettoie régulièrement toutes les parties des contenant et la pompe, rien à faire, certains contenants ne gardent pas sous vide. Après plusieurs semaines d'utilisation et de lavages,, c'est loin de s'améliorer, c'est maintenant 3 contenants sur 10 qui ne fonctionnent pas. Dommage parce que que ça fonctionne c'est génial, mais à ce prix je ne peux pas les recommander

They do not keep the vacuum. I thought it was a problem with one of them, but I git 3, and none retai the vacuum for more than a few hours.
