Works great. Good buy. Recommend buying the program cable for PC. Doing by hand is tedious. I already had a couple other units with a base charger and extended battery.

These radios are awesome for giving the kids to roam the neighborhood with. First off, what kid doesn't want to play wargames with these and second what parent doesn't want to be able to call kids home without risking a lost phone instead of a lost cheap radio.Frequency range is perfect. Realistically about 3/4 mile as crow flies In all directions of our flat neighborhood. They are small and fit in pocket but we got them special little bags.

These radios pack a punch for the price—clear audio, solid range, and tons of features for beginners and hobbyists alike. Easy to program once you get the hang of it. Perfect for camping, events, or getting into ham radio.

Force for if and when the big number three hits, being prepared is key. Watch YouTube videos on how to program how to use, it's not as easy as you think but this is supposed to be one of the best selling radios out there.
