Received this last week, and overall, it's a great product. It heats up quickly and cooks evenly. Cleanup is simple; just wipe it down with a damp cloth—don't use soap needed it will ruin the Teflon coating. The plates are easy to remove and snap in and out without any problems. It does get very hot, so I keep the temperature set to level 4 to avoid burning food. I actually bought this for my 10-year-old son to make his own breakfasts and snacks. He uses the sandwich plates for eggs and pancakes, and the grill plates for sausage patties. He’s even tried bacon, which turned out well—but you can only cook about two slices at a time. Any more than that creates too much grease, and unfortunately, there's no grease trap or drainage system. He can also cook cakes, brownies and hashbrowns in it too. He’s really enjoying the sandwich maker so far! However, we were both disappointed to find the waffle plates missing from the box. Instead, we received two sets of sandwich plates and one set of grill plates. One of the main reasons I chose this model was for the waffle-making feature, so this was a huge disappointment and deal breaker for us (hence the one star). I’ve contacted FOHERE through their website to request the waffle plates and am currently waiting for a response. I’ll update once I hear back—but if there’s no resolution, I’ll be returning it and looking for an alternative. UPDATE**** I’m incredibly impressed with FOHERE’s customer service. They responded within 24 hours and were sincerely apologetic about the issue. After I sent photos, they explained that they didn’t have individual waffle plate sets available, but went above and beyond by generously offering to send me a another sandwich maker—which included all three plate sets—as a solution. Just four days later, it arrived, and I finally have the waffle plates! My son is now happily making waffles with his sandwich maker. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from FOHERE again!

Works great making waffles or sandwiches. There is a slight issue with the top plates that is losely latched. While making waffles I must have accidentally loghtly bumped the release button and the plate fell off. It was hot so I wasn't able to put it back on until I unplug to let it cool. Tried using hot pads before shutting it off and the hotpad caught on fire slightly. It needs a more secure latch or a latch lock. Otherwise the unit cooled waffles great.

Started smoking day 1 out the box. Same day delivered. I don’t think it want a smoke smell in my sandwich coming from inside of the sandwich maker.

Perfect. Small. Removeable plates, 6 plates,temperature control, lock. and vertical storage. I browned a piece of bread immediatley to check the high temp. Toasted the breat perfectly.

It doesn't cook small or semi-liquid foods quickly. It's more for bread or sandwiches than for batters or mixes.
