Nice, basic umbrella
I am a Shedrain fan. I always keep one of their umbrellas in my car. My last one went missing when I left it at a restaurant and forgot about it for several days. So, this was a replacement. It opens, closes and is big enough to give my wife and I some cover when it rains. What more can I say? Truthfully, it hasn't been needed since it arrived. I opened it, checked for damage, saw none, closed it, and put it in my car. Since it is essentially the same as the one I lost, I assume it has the same ability to handle wind. The other did fine with light to medium wind.I've used Shedrain for years and like its umbrellas. I had one go damaged by high winds, and Shedrain honored its lifetime guarantee.

Very compact
I have used it in light rain and works as stated but when the hurricane comes I’d like to see how well it covers my sheltered self.

This umbrella was a waste of money
This is a terrible umbrella. I have had many umbrellas and have never struggled and had to watch YouTube videos on getting an umbrella to open. I bought this umbrella today because I forgot my other one at work. The metal was thin and snapped/bent with slight touch of my pinky finger on it in the light drizzle of rain. There wasn’t even wind. It never fully opened and would not close back. It was a hassle and not worth the money and now I have to walk into my house in the pouring rain because I have no umbrella to use!!!!

Bad
I bought one at Wal Mart and used it once (light rain) had no problem opening it that time. But then when it was pouring I pushed the button and it would just go to the handle and wouldn't open the top part at all! It was brand new too, will never buy one of these again!
