Difective open HDD shipped By vendor without any packing .
the Disk was reacived in a big box without any protection in open condition the even the anistatic packet was open and lying below the disk . even junk is not shipped like this . by lloking at the disk i could figure out that this is returned defactive pieci however i put it for testing immediately and found it to be totally defective . this is compleate cheeting - if not send by mistake . i have attached the image of how the disk was delivered in a big box without any packaging and open anti static pack lying below the DISK

Smart Choice
This should be the choice of smart people. Seamless performance is going on and on. 1Tb storage. Soundless. Worth the price.

Great drive with good service
Worked well for few months then recording was stopped, i tried formatting it on pc and put back the drive to dvr and it was working for few hours or days then again recording stopped and it was making some noise inbtwn and luckily had registered the product on WD website well before, then contacted WD toll free number , they assisted me with complete process and I followed there instructions n submitted the drive to there pickup center and got the acknowledgment and they said replacement drive will be shipped in 7 to 15days and i got mine after 10 days it was shipped to my address . . Its been 2 months new drive is working fine in dvr . So service 5/5 worth it .. I got this for 5k plus, now price have changed good product good service will chose WD in future as well

One of the best hard disk drive but everyone knows that already.
Well most important thing is not to go for a cheaper product. If you handle it carefully (that is not use as an object for manhandling) then I don't see it is used up before seven or eight years. But it will tell you before it is sick temporarily or permanently.

Defective product.. dont buy it..
Don’t buy, the item is defective, not working with new 8 channel nvr.. raised complaint for item return.. hope so it gets returned.. checked with multiple nvr’s but its not working in any on them..
