Good Quality with great battery life
Camera was very easy to set up and link up with app. The battery and solar panel make it extremely convenient to position the camera in almost any location. I found the wifi range was very good with ability to receive pictures from over 40 feet away. The price point is also a keen aspect of this purchase very good for budget, the camera is easy to set up and receive notification on your mobiles. With ability to zoom the functions and setting easy to navigate. Overall a good reliable product, with good support and backup from the manufacturer.

Great self sufficient smart camera!
So I’ve had this up exactly 3 months (31-10-24 to 31-01-25) throughout winter months so only around 8/9 hours daylight and even less sun. When I installed the camera it had 72% as I didn’t have the patience to let it fully charge first. 3 months later, it still has 31% left and this is with no power saving modes activated and fully optimised for surveillance. It was really easy to install and has a good picture quality and great sound quality. It can be taken down and charged by mains but I think as soon as longer sunnier days come the camera will soon top itself back up and charge a lot more than it has been. It’s definitely helped us feel more secure in our new house and just helps make sure we don’t miss anyone coming to the house etc.It can sometimes be delayed sending notifications and has in a few cases not picked up any movement at all. From tapping on a notification it generally loads up within 5-10 seconds but can be slower depending on internet connections.I do have this installed with the solar panel facing the sun (south) for best results.Overall I really like this camera and for a camera that is completely wireless and doesn’t need to be taken down for charging I think it performs really good and is excellent value for money.I’d like one for my rear garden however that doesn’t get sunlight and so I don’t think this camera would be suitable for that just for reference. Unless you didn’t mind taking it down and charging every few months.

Good product - works well
I have a few Ring cams set up around our house, but the annual service charge is £75 and I'm looking to cut costs back. So I got this Eufy S220 cam as a try out - at a discounted price of £59. It's the one with built in solar panel and as it's fitted to our south-facing wall I expect it'll not need a cable charger.Set up is simple - as others have stated. Download the Eufy Security app and follow instructions after connecting to 2.4ghz wifi on your router. The video image quality in daytime & nighttime s very good (better than Ring). It records for about 30 secs depending on motion trigger(s). As it's still early days, I haven't downloaded any videos as yet and not sure if still photos can be produced. But overall it's a good quality cam and, over time, I expect to get a few more to replace the Ring cams.

Great camera But
Since I left the review below Eufy have reached out to help solve my problems with this camera , I have been so impressed with the time and care Eufy have spent on resolving my problems that I have now added to this review. Thanks to the help from Eufy my camera is now working as it should the quality of this camera was never in doubt the fix is is about the positioning, the height ,the angle ,the settings and trial and error, I really enjoyed getting this right , so I would recommend this camera and Eufy as a company I was surprised that they had read my review and acted on 5 stars all round.Had this for 2wks now ,good points easy to set up and install ,battery life seems to be very good and picture is excellent. It is very good quality and seem very robust, but it misses more events than it gets.I have tried everything in the settings on the app every tips on the internet but it seems this is a common flaw , I’ve had it a different heights ,moved it to different positions, different angles, straight on , to the side ,tilted up tilted down but make no difference ie it can pick up a small sparrow flying past but not a car driving past , does not pick a person until halfway down my driveway regardless of how I set it up, I had a cheat tapo camera which picked up every event so I’m a wee bit disappointed, nevertheless it is a good camera and a deterrent and maybe a future update will fix the flaws so I’m keeping this camera

Solid and cost-effective
Ordered as an add-on to our existing Eufy ecosystem (doorbell + Homebase). Works brilliantly covering our driveway, in conjunction with the doorbell. Charging is also great, even though it's not exactly south-facing - I cannot speak for the durability and battery longevity over winter though. All in all a good and cost-effective option.

A Solar Camera That Can't Take Direct Sunlight
I bought two of these cameras, one one mounted outside in my garden in direct sunlight per the instructions, and one one left indoors pointing out of a window. My outdoor camera been fine until around 11am this morning, with today being a particularly hot day. It was unresponsive no matter what I tried, but my indoor camera was absolutely fine. After searching online one thing seemed to pop up time and time again from people experiencing the same issues: this solar camera overheats in strong, direct sunlight. The same direct sunlight the instructions explicitly tell you to mount the device in, which of course makes perfect sense for a solar device designed to charge, you know, in sunlight. No where in the instructions or guidance is overheating mentioned, nowhere does it say "put it in direct sunlight, but be careful it's not TOO much sunlight or your solar camera will die in daylight hours". What a magnificently ridiculous and ironic oversight in design. I have to say, it's a terrible shame because until this happened I was quite pleased with both cameras, they otherwise function exactly as intended. If you're keeping them indoors you might be fine, otherwise let's hope for a more typically British summer? In short, these are solar cameras that hate the sun. What a design!
