A bit disappointed
Well, I've had this brush now for almost 1½ years. I have very fine hair, and had never actually used a brush until I bought this one. It was a huge amount of money to spend on a brush, but cruelty-free is extremely important to me, so I went with this one. The pure boar bristle brushes are recommended for fine hair, the mixed bristles, for thicker hair.Although I do brush my hair most days with it, I don't brush for several minutes, as shown on the Morocco Method website. The reason for this, is simply that it makes my fine hair very greasy!! It is obviously doing what it's supposed to do ie. Distribute your natural oils, but for my fine hair, this is too much. This was very disappointing to me, as brushing with it, is quite therapeutic!Another problem that I have, is that it accumilates fluff, really quickly, around the base of the bristles. No matter how often I comb it, to get rid of the hair, the fluff still remains. I have washed it many times, and have been unable to get rid of it. The best solution I have found for this, is to actually attach the small crevice nozzle to your vacuum cleaner, and vacuum it!!The other annoying thing, is that the bristles have actually been falling out, when I comb the hair out. Usually only one bristle at a time, but this is not really acceptable, considering it is such an expensive brush!!All in all, I wouldn't recommend this if you have fine hair....unless you don't mind it getting greasy every time you use the brush.

Much smaller head and handle than a standard hairbrush - child-size rather than comfortable for grown-ups
Significantly over-priced. Much smaller head and handle than a standard hairbrush - child-size rather than comfortable for grown-ups. The classic English brands that inspired this one remain much better value for money.

I have short fine dry hair that was chemically coloured for several years ...
I have short fine dry hair that was chemically coloured for several years now growing and falling out. Every morning I would wake up with chicken hair ie most of it stood on end and frizzy. I kid you not, some mornings it even scared me! Actually it disheartened me and I was never vain or bothered about my hair: that was the hairdressers job.I was unsure about the brush because it is made from boars bristles, (a byproduct from the skin of wild pigs), but I suppose environmentally sound and honouring the Boar by using everything possible from its body.Scruples aside, I bought the brush and used it as per the instructions on the box. Yes, it works! I still have fine hair, nothing will change that, however, the dryness has gone and I don't look like a rooster about to attack. An unlooked for benefit of brushing my hair for 10 minutes twice daily is that instead if looking like a vampire, I now have colour in my face and look healthier than I have for decades.Yes I would recommend buying and using this brush even though it is expensive at £29 for the small one. I clean it, after each use (2 seconds), using a pick brush as the professionals do, so far it has not needed washing. The blog, Empowered Sustenance has a good article about the brush, the Morrocco Method and cutting/hair care products. Also look at www.morroccomethod.com.I do not have any financial benefit from either or any product I review. My only reason for reviewing a product is to assist potential purchases.

Too small
Smaller than expected, more suitable for a child.

Lovely little bush.
Lovely little bush. I'm not sure I would consider it travel size though and for some it may be too small for regular use. That said as I have very fine mid lenght hair it's just perfect for use at home. As I have many allergies I can't use most hair products and my hair was getting horrifically greasy at the roots and dry and brittle at the ends, this has made a big diffrence to the condition of my hair. It's also strangely relaxing to brush my hair with whilst watching TV. It is also completly boar bristle with no nylon, unlike may '100%' boar bristle brushes which are not.

Great hairbrush.
Great hairbrush, I have been using it as advised on the Morocco method website/video about how to properly brush your hair and get the blood flowing into the scalp, bending your knees, flipping your hair forward over your head from the back brushing till my scalp tingles. And then flipping it back, always amazing how huge my hair becomes after I have brushed and flipped, then brush the natural oils through the hair starting at the scalp and brushing through. Love it. Great hairbrush.
