Very easy to operate and soon found Astra 28.2 and there is also an option to view channels broadcast on this satellite so overall great piece of kit. After trying it whilst caravanning I also found if the unit has been scanned for channels previously, when you lock onto the signal you can hear a tv program come straight on which means you don’t have to have direct view of the meter and then fine adjust the dish using the signal strength meter. Really easy to setup.

I was a initially sceptical about buying this device. As I used to use pro satellite finders over 20 years ago (Horizon/Rover) to install Sky for customers. I found this device really easy to use. I set the correct time/date, set the satellite to Astra 2 and thats it! No other settings need amending. I replaced an old dish with zero effort. The process was: locking in the correct direction and then locking in the correct elevation of the dish. In the "Installation" menu, making sure the signal "strength" and "quality" bars were optimal. Then job done. The finder helps you with an audible beep, and you can verify the signal by viewing channels. For the price, I think this finder is definitely worth it. Though you can find it cheaper elsewhere and I can't comment on long term ownership.

This is definitely the kit for setting up a satellite dish. But. Gone are the days of balancing on a ladder whilst manoeuvring the dish whilst listening for a pipper. There's a couple of inputs needed and a modicum of homework before even hooking this up to the lnb. Once cracked, brilliant piece of kit.

Works great straight out of the box, assisted with the set up of my dish for Hispasat 30 West. Good data base of satellites and transponders everything required for UK/EU satellite installations. Like that meter can be recharged with a normal USB C charging cable, so no special charger or cable to loose. I’ve left a star of because the instructions where not great, luckily I’m experienced with using satellite meters and installations. Also would have been nice if a protective case/strap had been included. But for under £50 you can’t complain at the value

Within 5 minutes of opening the packaging I found the satellite I needed on the list displayed (Astra 2) I knew approximately the direction to point the dish and had my satellite dish aligned within seconds showing signal strength and quality, I did a a full channel scan and within a couple of minutes it had found the channels which could then see on the screen with all sorts of info that I don't understand otherwise it's so easy to use. There are several other settings/functions that I don't currenty understand or plan to use but they may be of use. Main point is it works, it's easy to use and it's quick and good value, much better than a traditional signal meter. I noted on some reviews it mentioned scratched screen, the one I got had a protective cover on the screen that had scratches/marks - you peel off the protective cover and the screen is perfect.

Poor didn't work as stated

So eventually with a lot of searches I have found the settings for anyone in the UK who has freesat, & wishes to tune it in. Satellite Astra 2E,2F,2G Transponder 10847 V First click installation & select above satellite. Once selected press the satellite button, here you will see Transponder. Select the one above. Then scan, Your sorted

Excellent little tool with a good battery life, I found the default settings were fine for setting up to view freesat in the UK (Astra 2, with loop set to 10714 H 22000 and 10758V 22000). Pretty groovy that you can watch TV on it!

It helped to restore the correct position of my antenna that was so out of its position that I could scan channels also on another sat position. The device helped first of all to understand that LNB wasn't broken.

Ho acquistato il CENPEK V8 Finder2 circa tre mesi fa e devo dire che sono rimasto molto soddisfatto della mia scelta. Da tempo cercavo un cercatore satellitare che fosse facile da usare e che offrisse prestazioni elevate, e questo prodotto ha superato le mie aspettative. Innanzitutto, la qualità costruttiva è ottima. Il dispositivo è robusto e sembra progettato per resistere all'uso all'aperto. Il display è chiaro e ben leggibile, anche sotto la luce del sole, il che è fondamentale quando ci si trova all'esterno a cercare segnali. La configurazione iniziale è stata rapida e semplice. Le istruzioni sono chiare e dettagliate, il che ha reso tutto molto intuitivo. Ho apprezzato molto la possibilità di sintonizzare facilmente i canali DVB-S2X e di visualizzare le informazioni sul segnale in tempo reale, il che mi ha aiutato a trovare rapidamente i satelliti desiderati. Un altro aspetto positivo è la durata della batteria. Ho usato il dispositivo per diverse sessioni di ricerca senza doverlo ricaricare, il che è molto comodo quando si è in viaggio o si lavora in zone remote. Inoltre, il CENPEK V8 Finder2 ha un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Rispetto ad altri modelli che avevo considerato, questo offre funzionalità simili a un costo molto più contenuto. In sintesi, consiglio vivamente il CENPEK V8 Finder2 a chiunque abbia bisogno di un cercatore satellitare affidabile e facile da usare. È un ottimo investimento per appassionati di TV satellitare e per chiunque voglia semplificare il processo di sintonizzazione. Non potrei essere più soddisfatto del mio acquisto!
