I needed an I.R. temp gun to confirm under hood temperatures on a car that I have. The readings are accurate to within about 1 degree fahrenheit. Not recommended for medical use, this is a garage tool for me.

Item was as described, works well. Great price, accurate temp, easy to use and lightweight.

This "gun" lets me know when grease is hot enough to immerse the items I am about to fry. It is easy to use, does not get greasy by being put in the hot grease, and lets me cook my items better. So far it has worked well. I would recommend, but be sure it is not played with by children.

Would not read the temperature of our griddle surface. Even when hot enough to flash boil water, it read 128 degrees. Will be returning this.

My old IR thermometer finally bit the dust and I looked around for a replacement. I found this one for $9.66, which was the exact same as other sellers were selling for $12 - $16. So I bought two of them. It has been a couple months and the first one is working perfectly. It is not the #1 selling thermometer and doesn't have Bluetooth pairing and doesn't plot a graph of temperature readings. It's an IR thermometer and it works. And, if it stops working in a year or two. I have another one.

I have a digital meat thermometer that goes into the meat, and a separate candy thermometer that goes into the pot when making candy. This thermometer is so much more convenient. I checked it against the other thermometers, and it is accurate as well. Love it!
