Rapid 128GB External SSD USB 3.0 Portable Solid State Drive

It's physical size is not as small as other external solid state drives like the ones from Samsung and Sandisk, but it's cheaper per gigabyte compared to the products of the aforementioned companies. For weekly external drive file backups and occasional massive file transfers, I have the faster USB 3.1 external SSDs do the work. But for holding a system image of my computer, the VectoTech rapid fulfills that role perfectly because it comes at a low enough price to justify choosing a SSD product over an HDD product for storing a rarely used backup.

I found this products design to be acceptable, it's nothing special but it seems solid. The download speed into it is very good and far exceeds my old mechanical hard drive. I haven't measured it but I didn't need to, it was quick. The question is will it last. I bought it to store my wedding videos and photos on. So far so good.

Got this for my parents for Christmas. So far I haven't heard any complaints. It was used primarily to transfer a large amount of files from an old pc to new laptop and now will function as a backup for them. VectoTech even sent me a nice little storage case to keep it in as a gift a few months after purchase. I would recommend it. For the storage and price, it's hard to find a better deal.

Great little drive! Works great, The only con is that it has no feet for slick surfaces. It slides around quite easily. It's a good buy.

The drive failed less than 2 months after receiving it. Although it is recognized by my system, transfer speeds are very slow. Communication with the manufacturer has been difficult as they have only responded by email. Was told by Tech Support that the drive needed a firmware update but that they could not provide it to me (it is very difficult!). They wanted for me to install TeamViewer so they could remote in to MY pc (actually a Mac) and perform the update. Yea, I really want to allow some unknown tech remote access to my PC.
