ABENA Premium Maternity Pads, Postpartum Essentials

I purchased this item to use postpartum and it was an essential for my hospital bag, however my waters broke early (35wks) and I had to be hospitalised and monitored, luckily I had purchased this and had it in my hospital bag because the maternity pads supplied my the hospital could not hold the amniotic fluid that was leaking from me for a week before I finally went into labour (36wks). This pad was the only thing that saved me from being constantly wet and saturated with amniotic fluid after my waters broke and I continue to leak until baby was born. It’s great quality for the price, comfortable it’s not too bulky and it holds fluids/blood well, very absorbent and coverage is excellent (covered front and back without issue). After I gave birth I used is only for a few days postpartum because I wasn’t bleeding a lot it wasn’t necessary to wear this but it saved me from unnecessary hassle and uncomfortable wear of other maternity pads when my waters broke because this was absorbent I never leaks or saturation my underwear. Only thing I’d say is it’s not very sticky, it didn’t really stick to my underwear but it was secure enough due to it being big enough and long enough to cover front and back once placed in underwear and pulled up it remained in place so for that I’d give it 9/10.

I recently bought the ABENA Premium Maternity Pads, and I am absolutely thrilled with how well they work. Perfect after giving birth! Definitely recommend these I felt comfortable and secure wearing these. I’ve always preferred big pads rather then small/thin ones tbh

Perfect size and useful I take a good use of them after giving birth and even on normal periods

These were great for use immediately after childbirth. The size of the pads is super large but this is what makes it perfect for the heavy blood flow immediately post birth. I’ve knocked off one star as they don’t have wings which meant that I had some very minor leakages at the side of the pads which ended up causing some blood to get onto my pants. This was ok given that I was wearing disposables but if they had wings they literally would be perfect. Other than that that the absorption, size and comfort were all fabulous and I would definitely recommend post birth. I used these then switched to lil let’s maternity pads with wings as bleeding was getting lighter. One pack was more than enough for me before switching.

Excellent exactly what I needed. Have very heavy periods and normal sanitary pads just aren't cutting it so I never feel well protected from leaks. These are large, they cover, back, front and sides great, so well protected. They are thick but not bulky at all sit flat and have great adhesion. Super soft, super absorbent, comfortable and no odour. I will be using these from now on. Well priced, excellent quality. Highly recommend.

I got these pads for postpartum care. I ended up having a c section so my bleeding was not on the crazy side however I am still positive they will aid any level of bleeding and still provide comfort. Although these pads are large they fit in standard knickers and I haven’t experienced them rubbing against my incision on my belly. I’ve also had no leaks from any direction so for me it’s money well spent. Additionally, I also have stuck some of these to the inside of my pj top to help absorb the crazy amount of milk that splutter out of my boobs, no nipple chafe and absorbed the milk great!
