Great for recording with regular people
These mic covers work as expected. Very easy to slip on and off. Love the variety of colors and letting your subject choose their mic cover is a great ice breaker and way to put people at ease.

A bit “LARGE” and Showy, draws “more attention.” GOOD at REDUCING WIND NOISE & “Contact Rubbing"
While reading their descriptions and uses for these Wind Screens I became a bit suspicious that these were made by people that had seen pictures of “fuzzy dead cat” windscreens and decide to make some. The suggested others uses of getting a ring to put them on and put them on the ends of your pencils kind of “locked that thought in for me.” :-)) 😉 Yep, it had me a little concerned.Well I got a nice little “sliding cardboard storage box with 10, different colored windscreen and a tin ring to wear with a wind screen attached to be attached to it. :-))Each wind screen is nicely placed in its own perforated/vented zip lock baggy. (They should “stay clean and sorted.)I got a nice 2 tone charcoal grey and a black windscreen. Also a “low key" beige and a white windscreen. I Personally don’t need or want any attention drawing bright colors. But if you have a use for bright colors, You’ll get some here. 😊THIS WINDSCREEN IS larger than I would like. For MY uses I would prefer to be drawing as little attention to the microphone as possible. To Me these are over sized windscreens. Maybe not quite as “densely packed” fibers on that as want came with a different microphone set? (The added length of the fibers might “make of for a possible lack of density?)IN THE PICTURE YOU CAN SEE THE TYPE OF MICROPHONE THESE ATTACH TO AND THE SIZE of these compared to the stock foam and a lower profile “dead cat” windscreen. These are the 2 larger windscreens on the left of the picture. Charcoal & Red colors. Or the Red One at the bottom of the vertical picture. (Yes that is the "beautiful fashion ring" that you can attach them to if you want to wear them around. :-)) 😉 I'd prefer another "charcoal colored" windscreen over the ring... )I tried TESTING THESE WINDSCREENS by using the Same Mic without a windscreen, with Its Foam Windscreen and with this fuzzy “dead cat” windscreen.THIS WINDSCREENS PRETTY MUCH ELIMINATED THE SOUND OF THE MICROPHONE RUBBING ON A SHIRT/CLOTH. The foam cover will generate the most noise from RUBBING ON CLOTH /CLOTHING IF that is a concern of yours.)THIS WINDSCREEN PRETTY MUCH ELIMINATED just about ALL OF THE NOISE FROM WIND/ME BLOWING ACROSS THE MIC.Yes it is MUCH BETTER than the stock foam windscreen! The “stock” FOAM windscreen stops some of the wind noise and is better than nothing, it is a noticeable amount of noise reduction. But the foam windscreen still lets a Noticeable and of course annoying amount of wind noise through. The FUZZY DEAD CAT STYLE like this can Eliminate, Almost eliminate, or greatly eliminate wind noise over those "stock foam windscreens/POP SCREENS.” (It depends on if you are trying to record in a "hurricane" or not. 😉 )SO, THESE FUNCTIONED VERY WELL!MY VOICE STAYED CLEAR, NOT MUFFLED. NO "particular/noticeable, adverse change" in the sound of my voice. 😊 (when played back on the phone.)They might be a little bit of a pain to get on at first. But they do go on and slide “all of the way down” The plastic “microphone post” and stayed on. Just have to hope they retain their ability to hold on with use.If you have a wireless microphone with the “post mount”, (see picture) and you plan On shooting video outside YOU PROBABLY REALLY WANT TO GET SOMETHING LIKE THIS.It does Not take much wind/breeze to make a bunch of noise across a microphone and on to your video.(you do NOT have to hear any wind noise to your naked ear blowing across the microphone/phone, but that breeze can be GENERATING A LOT OF NOISE ON YOUR VIDEO/AUDIO RECORDING.IF YOU DON’T have a way of attaching a “fuzzy dead cat” windscreen to your phones mic. (You probably Don’t.)THIS WIND NOISE ISSUE IS ENOUGH OF A REASON ON ITS OWN TO GET A “WIRELESS LAVALIERE MIC WITH A DEAD CAT WINDSCREEN" If you plan on shooting video outdoors. You never know when a Little Breeze can come up and really mess up your sound quality without it.IF YOU LIKE THE COLORS, THE PRICE and use the type of microphones these fit on. (Assuming they will continue to attach well to the mic.)I CAN DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THAT YOU GRAB YOURSELF A SET OF THESE.(With Me... If you are seeing something you are thinking of getting and I give it a 3 or 4 star rating. It is something you should give a try. (“No” 5 star "perfection" from me. It is unlikely to find "perfection." You might even have to deal with some typos or “cursor errors” in this review. 😉)

Fit Wired Lav Mics, Not Wireless
I like that these have many colors. They fit well onto my wired lav mics with a traditional mic size. These do not fit either of my wireless lav mics at all. They are way too tight and the inner rubber ring cannot be stretched to fit.A good value for wired, look for mini boom mic covers from Movo for wireless lavs.

Good Fit, Larger Than Expected
These were a good fit for my lavalier microphone, they have a little bit of give to them and fit nice and snug. They seem to work really well for blocking the wind in my outdoor podcasts, which was surprising as I wasn't expected them to work as well as they did. They also do a good job of muting the louder noises that naturally come from the outdoor environment too. I really like that these can be washed! It's definitely nice to be able to wash these after someone else has used one of my mics, good way to get rid of any germs left behind. These are rather large, much larger than I expected. And some of the colors are very bright and vibrant. The combination of how large and colorful some of these are is almost comical and I tend to forego using those specific ones just because those don't always fit the scenario. Overall these are really good for gaining better sound quality, they fit great, and they come in a nice variety. Highly recommend!

The colors are the best part!
It used to be that you can only get a "dead rat" windscreen in black or grey. But what if you are a super colorful person who wants to defy the monochrome life? That's what we have here. The quality is just the same as any other inexpensive windscreen, but the magic is that they are now technicolor. If you are a blogger who values accessorizing and looking cute for every shot, this is the thing for you! So many people ask where I get them when I wear these out in public. The general public doesn't realize that this is a microphone cover, and therefore you can still kind of maintain a modicum of stealth to your undercover recordings. It just looks like a fuzzy accessory. As opposed to black windscreens, or especially GREY windscreens - they just SCREAM "I'm recording you, bro".I tend to do a ton of in field voice recording work, and the windscreen feature really cuts down on the crosswind noise. All in all pretty good for the fashionable podcaster/vlogger!

Mic Makeover Madness: Unraveling the Mystery of Furry Windscreen Installation
These furry windscreens for lavalier microphones are a stylish addition to any recording setup, offering a delightful array of colors that serve a practical purpose. I particularly appreciated how the diverse color range enabled me to seamlessly conceal the microphone within my attire, enhancing the overall professionalism of my recordings. While the overall craftsmanship is commendable, the installation process did pose some challenges. The narrow opening demanded a fair amount of stretching to properly fit the microphone. Initially puzzled by the inclusion of an enigmatic accompanying ring, my attempts to use it for installation proved futile, leading me to speculate that it was merely a quirky accessory. After thorough investigation on the Amazon page, I stumbled upon a helpful installation technique, regrettably absent from the packaging. A simple inclusion of this technique on the box would have considerably expedited the setup process.
