SHOULD HAVE GONE WITH THIS FIRST - GREAT QUALITY PRODUCT
I BOUGHT A CHEAP-O VERSION OF THIS TYPE OF NIGHT LIGHT ORIGINALLY AND IT DIDN'T EVEN LAST A YEAR BEFORE ALL THE 5 PHOTOS WERE BLEACHED OUT TO WHITE. PLUS THE PHOTOS DO NOT COMPARE TO THE QUALITY OF THE IMAGES YOU GET WITH THIS PROJECTOR.THIS HAS AN OPTION THAT ROTATES THE PHOTOS AND EVEN BETTER - A TIMER TO AUTOMATICALLY SHUT OFF AT 1 OR 2 HOURS THAT I LOVE

Great choice
My very own planetarium. I’m so happy right now. Something simple marked off my childhood wishes list. It was affordable too. Colors look amazing.

good
its cute and works. i wish the image quality was a little better but for the price you cant go wrong. it comes with several 'discs' that are different galaxies and colors which is nice.easy to use, the timer is nice. which i could extend the timer, maybe i can im not sure i havent bothered with it too much. i just switch out the discs and turn it on at night for a pretty nightlight for the top of my stairs.

Nice effects
The effects look nice, but if you place it on a standard height night stand under an 8ft ceiling, you only get about a 6ft light show.

Really terrible
I'm an amateur astronomer and love to gaze at the stars. As a kid I would lay outside in the pitch blackness of my rural home and gaze up at the Milky Way. But, modern lighting has changed that. I really miss it and thought this projector would be a nostalgic way to bring the stars back at night. But, this projector is really terrible, or maybe the slide discs are. Or maybe both. The lack of clarity in the slides is so disappointing. No amount of refocusing helped. One of my favorite images is the Andromeda Galaxy. I actually have a large print of the image (from the Hubble telescope), properly framed and hanging in the study in my home.Well, the projector came with an image, labeled as "The Andromeda Galaxy." When I projected it onto the ceiling it looked a clump of white paint that had been placed onto a dark background. It would so bad, I removed it from the projector. I went through other slides, and none were clear. The "North America Nebula" was as bad as the Andromeda Galaxy. While I could kinda make out the shape that gave the nebula its name, it was hard to do.I suddenly realized that the slides are not from photos, but from paintings, and not necessarily good paintings either.Another thing is that the "rotation" option was really bad. Sometimes the image would rotate, but often it seemed to slip and the projector would have to readjust it so it could properly rotate. The effect was the image would jump around.I have returned the projector. And, NO! I would not recommend this projector.

Not what I hoped for
I've seen a lot of videos and pictures from similar types of product online and I'll say, this does not look anything like the clear, colorful, vibrant images I've seen. The best way I can describe the images is if you were able to project a color picture of the stars or planets from a 1985 text book. Yeah, it's recognizable, but it doesn't look good at all. Very fuzzy, no focusing would fix it. I'll check out all of the film to see if any look better than the ones I checked, but I got to 5 before I realized how disappointed I was and that this WAS NOT what I expected or hoped for.
