Gold standard for budget MRDS
I have four of these things and will probably end up with more. They’re well-made, hold zero, don’t have too much tint or distortion, and last long enough that a yearly battery change is all that’s needed. The brightness buttons have a nice clicky feel to them, as well. My only complaint is that the adjustments aren’t as tactile when zeroing; it can be very hard to hear or feel them, especially if you’re in a busy range. Other than that, it’s a fantastic dot for the money.

Easy Install
Great sight and easy to install. I put it in my springfield hellcat and it fit just right. Also great i don't have to worry about battery life as the motion detecting on/off dot works great. Would buy again.

Outstanding product
Very cool, works great, nice small size, like the textured front, fits very well, easy to install, lots of screw packs well labeled for each type of gun, nice quality tool to install and adjust, great packaging and quick shipping. Great product for the price point.

Pretty good RMSc sight
I bought this sight for my PSA 9mm Micro Dagger. Not that there are a ton of RMSc sights on the market, but this is a pretty good one. Out of the box, this optic was very accurate, about a 1/2 inch low at ~20 yards. Very easy to zero in.There's a pull tab to activate the battery, but mine tore with the battery cover screwed in. It wasn't clear in the installation instructions that the battery cover should first be removed, or at least this was the case for mine. The shake-awake feature on this sight is VERY sensitive. With the Dagger placed flat on the counter, it seems to activate just with heavy walking. It's definitely important that the motion sensor be sensitive, but maybe not so sensitive that it's responsive to vibrations. If you use this with your daily carry, I imagine it'll almost always be on for most of the day. Could be a lot worse, but this'll definitely impact battery life. I read other reviews talking about the excessive 14-hour auto shut-off. My manual says that that's only after it's initially powered on. I believe it shuts itself off after about 10 minutes. The screen size is great while still staying fairly compact. The red dot at the highest setting is way too much for me and affects visibility of the viewport. One level down from the top was perfect for me.Tip: set your desired brightness with the up and down buttons, then hold the up button for 3 seconds to lock in the brightness and disable the buttons to prevent accidental presses.

Bull’s-eye!!
Excellent optic. Works very well and stays zeroed even after thousands of shots. Looks and works great on Glock 48. Vortex quality is top-notch and warranty is superior.

Vortex red dot
This red dot reflex optic is really great. Easy to mount as it comes with multiple options (mounting hardware) for different models of firearms . Good job Vortex! So far this site has worked flawlessly. The shake awake feature has not failed. The battery is easily replaced and accessible. Thank you Vortex for including a tool to unscrew the access port. Can’t say enough pros about this unit! Price point was on same level as other red dots with same features.

And, I gotta tell ya. It was perfect. PERFECT everything down to the last minute details
Let me start this interview with the fact that the description is wrong. It’s a 10 minute shut off now not a 14 hour. And the emitter is different now as well and doesn’t flicker the way YouTube and people on here have said. I’ve experienced no flicker. The dot is a perfect circle. It’s perfect. These dots hold zero. That’s something they did get right on YouTube. As for battery life. It says 9500 hours (about a year) on 6. 6 is very bright. And you should replace your batteries every year anyhow so it’s perfect. The only drawback I can say with the 6moa dot is it can halo pretty hard if you go to 7 and above in lower light settings. So if it’s sunny sure to make it higher. If it’s not. 6 will do. Also if you are a hellcat, hellcat pro etc owner. It cowitnesses perfectly. It’s the perfect dot for the platform. Buy once cry once people. Just do it if you have a hellcat and want something quality. And vortex has the best warranty in the game. From what I’ve heard cause I never had to return a vortex.

Great Value
I'm a fan of Vortex. Great products, great pricing points, great customer service. I've tried/used several different red dot optics, but I always come back to buying either a Vortex or a Holsun. In this case, I bought the "Defender" to go on my new single-stack Glock 48.The Defender is perfect for these slimer pistols. Installation was very (very) simple. No "adapter" plates. a 10 minute job from "gather the tools" to clean the workbench and head for the range. Easy to "zero" ~ 10 rounds. It has held zero and functioned perfectly for 750 rounds. My only "complaint"---and it's not a "deal breaker" is that I wish Vortex offered more reticle options. Over the years, I've gravitated more to Holsun just because the outer circle makes the dot easier to find.Overall, I'm very happy with my Vortex Defender. I recommend it.
