Good for plastic
I really wanted this to work. But I’m only halfway impressed. I first tried it on Pex tubing and it worked well. Then I tried it on wood quarter round and it would not cut through it. I’m a fairly large guy with big hands and no go. I then tried it on half inch quarter round and still no good. I happened to have some plastic trim and was successful cutting it. I deducted a star because there were no directions and what seemed like a logical way to put this together didn’t seem to work. The anvil part of which there are several, didn’t fit where it seemed to go. The fingers that the anvil should have slid into appeared bent or may have been that way for a tight fit. I found that I could insert the anvil into the bottom of the fingers and work it around into position. That took a little effort and with a sharp blade right there it’s definitely a safety issue. There are a lot less expensive tubing cutters and that seems to be all I’ve found that this is good for.

Jack of trades, mastering most.
The media could not be loaded. Multitools, snips (both right, left and center) and kleins are reputable for their ability to contribute to almost any job your on, making any one of them one of the single most valuable tools in a kit.. These shears, (I can't believe I'm saying this) have climbed onto that list ahead of some those trusted favorites and in a short time made their mark across the various jobs I've done. Firstly every guard here is molded in strong metal and handles heavy job site use effortlessly with multiple attachments that cover a swath of cutting needs. Piping, trim, molding, even garden and yard work are made simple and even elegant with its perfect precision. The blade is very sharp and since each of the guards are indented to land the blade when fully closed, there is no danger of slipping or accidents when applying leverage. The shears themselves are well crafted and even after a hundred gaurd changes and tightnings/loosenings it has lost none of the integrity thats made it so impressive... A tool kit is meant to encompass a wide range of use and add the convenience that other lone tools don't always offer. From here forward, ill be comparing every other kit I get to this one, which has undeniably become the new standard.
