the reel is cheap. i replaced it with a lews 30, and im not sad. ive read that some people have caught some really nice fish on these. i bought it to kayak with.

Great for kid/beginner. Rod is 10/10, reel is 5/10, line is 8/10.
Great product for the price. The reel is not super robust, but it's not really for much more than small fish. I purchased it for my 4yo son and he loves it. It is his first rod and reel like dad's! So far the rod has taken a toddler beating and has no flaws. The line on the reel is not terrible either. Some memory as to be expected with mono.

Rod is decent. Reel is not. Ended up buying a mini 33 to replace reel.
