I ordered a size XL because I have a 44 inch hip and a curvy butt but these are still a bit tight (depresses my skin so it's obvious where the thong lines are) I would have preferred them to be seamless on my skin. The description says to measure at the waist but these thongs are NOT long enough to pull all the way over my hips aka it would be extremely uncomfortable on my lady parts if I were to pull the side straps up that high, they definitely are most comfortable resting on my hips. The natural shape of these thongs also lends itself best to resting on the hips, the sides are really not meant to be pulled up so high. The seller should consider describing the sizing based on one's HIP SIZE not one's waist size. Part of me thinks that I may have gotten a bad batch because I saw pictures of an older, overweight woman wearing these in a size medium and it looks the same as the XL on me, which is really strange. For extra reference, I am 5'2" and usually around 132 lbs with a 44 inch hip span (not sure what my waist is, but my waist is significantly smaller than my hip span). I would think if she can wear a medium then the XL should be just as I prefer it but this is not the case. I might, in the future, consider buying another batch to see if it's the same as this batch if I can't find anything else that's comparable in terms of quality and price - worst case scenario I can just return the next order if it isn't any better. Overall the material is great and I love that they are made out of cotton and not gross synthetic materials like most clothing is nowadays. I just wish they had bigger sizes. I already washed them and will still wear them when my other few comfortable thongs are in the dirty laundry, since the tightness is not super uncomfortable - I just have to make sure I wear something that hides the thong lines through the clothes or not care that it's obvious where my thong lines are when wearing these. I recommend sizing up if you don't like the tight feeling or having your skin be pushed in where the straps are. And if you're curvy in the butt and hips like me, forget it, unless you like the obvious-where-her-thong-is-under-her-clothes look.

Would give 0 stars if possible. The sizing chart is wrong and even if it was right these thongs are not shaped for a human. I got an xs per the sizing chart and it was so tiny. So I got a small. Still way too small. Okay I get a medium. Now it at least covers me but I have insane camel toe. So I got a large. Now I still have some camel toe and the strings are too long and slip down, and there is now extra fabric at the top of the triangle even though there's hardly enough at the bottom. There is simply no size that is wearable for me because of the shape/ design of this thong. I went through 4 sizes to reach this conclusion because cost wise its great where usually an individual piece is far more costly. But it doesnt matter if you cant even wear it. Dont bother with these its a waste of time.
