Smart technology, handy bundle
Before you start using the scanner, look for a 3 minute video on how to do a scan with JMStudio software. It's actually an official video released by 3DMakerpro and covers basically everything you need to know. The scanner works well and the AI in the software is impressive. It's not as intuitive as some software I've tried, but after the most recent update I noticed that they've added additional hints and tooltips to the interface. That has it trending in the right direction. The actual technology underlying the software works very well to identify different features of the scanned object and get them correlated when combing multiple scans.Experimenting, I found that I could get about 80-85% of my test object in a single pass and could generate a printable STL from that alone. Changing scan angles and adding additional scans got me to somewhere north of 95%. Using the editing features got me a little further and although the printed objects weren't 100%, they were so close I couldn't care to refine the process further.

Awesome scanner
3dpro did a great job with this scanner, it can take a bit to understand the software, and work through how it functions but hands down its a fantastic scanner, the pro kit has alot of extra cables a phone mount and an extra tripod..I've been able to scan large objects and small objects it takes aome practice to get used to it, the turn table for smaller objects is really nice..it is a bit pricey but you get alot for your money.. Highly worth it and would Recommend to anyone looking into lidar scanning object..Quick note the software makes .obj files and .stl files ready for cad or straight to your slicer.. Highly Recommend..
