This collar is soft and comfortable on kitty, and it's easy for her to get to her food & water bowl (but if yours has a leg / tail injury, it may not be the best one for keeping them away from the wound--I bought it for her spay). The material is lightweight and she still has some peripheral vision. The only caveat I have is that the material is very absorbent, so you'll have to squeeze it out after kitty uses the water dish. It dries out quickly in front of a fan but it's harder to clean off if it gets messy--you'll need to give it a proper wash in the sink instead of just wiping it down with soap & water.I would recommend getting two cones (for any type of soft cone, in general) to have a spare when you need to take one off for cleaning.

I wouldn’t get this for a medium to large size cat. My kitten is 3 pounds and this fits perfectly. He has ringworm and we needed to keep him from scratching it. I like how it’s soft and adjustable. Also easy to clean. Way better than the plastic cone of shame!

My cat wears this without ripping it off like other cones I've tried. I folded the cone back at first to get her used to the impaired vision which did freak her out but had to unfold it because she could get at the ear scab. It stayed on for a month until it healed but now and then I would remove it for a day so she could clean herself.

More comfort for the kitty than the hard plastic ones

This worked great! My cat was unable to take it off and that alone was a huge plus. My cat was hurt by another cat and had an open wound that needed to get stitches, she kept scratching it and making it bleed.

This is sooo perfect. I got a small for my cat and she weights 5lbs. I would say size up if your cat weights 8 pounds or more. My cats hated the cone the vet provides and found that they are more comfortable with these. It's easier for them to sleep in.

Last time we ordered this soft cone it had a traditional two-ended tie that my cat easily removed; we had to cut holes in the slick fabric and use a traditional collar to keep it on. (I see that older model is no longer available.) This new design, with an elastic string that has an pinch-adjustable plastic piece, works great.Some suggestions: Monitor you pet closely when you first use the cone, and consider ordering a size up in your cat is in between sizes. My cat has an 8 inch neck so I ordered the small size. The medium (that I ordered last time) actually fits better so I ordered another, bigger size. If you need the cone in a timely manner, I'd suggest ordering both sizes, sending one back, especially if your cat is in between sizes. It's also a great idea to have more than one as my cat continually gets her collar dirty and wet; while you can wash the collar, it doesn't clean real well (gets stained easily & over time) and it needs to air-dry. You'll need a second one for the pet to wear while the other one dries.

This is a comfy cone for cats BUT you should buy a size up for your pet.
