I ordered this hoping that since they advertise both sides of the rule were marked, I was hoping one side was a inside rule but no both ends are outside reading rules which is not ideal for carpentry work or measuring short distances on wood. There isn’t a forum to even ask a question for some reason so I took a chance that they made this right that you had the best of both worlds that being marked both sides one side would be inside and one would be outside. No real benefit having both ends being outside reading because either you have to open the rule all the way to get it to lay flat or you have to measure from the right side of your work and let the body of the rule hang off the end of the material you are measuring. This is why they make both inside and outside measuring rules for the different types of use.
