I use a magic eye device to change the channel on the box in another room connected to a HDMI spltter. After a lot of problems with it I changed the sender cable and it made some other changes I had made work.

This was just what I wanted, but after reading the information and reviews, I really had no idea what it did. So here's my explanation, and I hope it helps. The metal end plugs into an infra red receiver device. In our case this is a Powermid pyramid receiver which can take a signal from another room. You then hang the other end over the front of the device you wish to control (in our case a Sky HD box). So we have the Sky box in the lounge. It is wired to connect to the kitchen and bedroom (by HDMI), and we can now control it from those rooms via the Powermid system. This lead allows us to position the lounge Powermid high up away from the Sky box and the lead takes the IR signal down to the front of the Sky box.

Used to control volume on a Naim Olive Amp from a modern Naim Streamer app, and it worked brilliantly. The IR end doesnt need to be that close to the amp. I'd prefer a shorter cable, but still worth 5 stars, as its one less remote I need to use. Just put App into system automation with RC5 Modulation

Didn’t work plugged into a IR out on Sony receiver

i.e. works if you are intending to use it as an output from a wifi extender (such as Philips Pronto devices), and might work if you have devices that have an IR trigger output - you'd need to try it yourself for that though, I'm afraid, as it will be dependent upon your device, not this item. Works perfectly in the applications that I am using it for, though.

Doesnt work at all what the hell is this... even camera shows it doesnt have i.r blast at all as cameras would show it

My sky box was hidden in a cupboard so got this emmiter & plugged directly into USB port on box & worked straight away

Installé sur la Xbox one (via interface arriere prevue pour l'IR). Cela m'a permis de faire fonctionner une telecommande pour ma Xbox one. Rempli les fonctionnalités attendues. Recue rapidement. Nickel Pour info il y a un petit adhesif sous latete qui permet de le coller discretement sur la tele.
