We have a steep tarmac drive up from a narrow lane. When melted it leaves a sandy residue.

Decent salt for the winter.I used on paths around my garden,worked well,melted the ice pretty quickly,handy to have as there was no salt bin near my property.

I'm expecting 2024/25 winter season to be quite nasty so bought in preparation, I've neither the time or the patience to be coming a cropper being in a valley type area that sees more snow and ice than neighbouring towns. With several stone steps to get to the front door, you can imagine how dangerous snow and ice make them. Quick delivery and grit looks very good quality, flows beautifully from the scoop I use and is certainly much better than shop bought. Added advantage, it stops any slugs and snails trying to get into the house and greenhouse. Time will tell if it does its' job, but I've high hopes I won't be struggling this season.
