This pet-proof window screen arrived overnight and couldn’t have come at a better time; my old one was completely shredded. Installation was a breeze! As a single mom who tackles most DIY projects solo, I really appreciate when a product is truly easy to work with, and this one definitely was. The quality is impressive right out of the box; thick, sturdy, and well-made. Airflow is excellent too (for now, since it’s still new), and I had more than enough material to fully cover my patio door with some left over. I’ll update this review if it turns out to be hard to clean or if my cat somehow manages to tear it (though it feels tough enough to hold up). But for now, I’m giving it a solid 5 stars for the top-notch quality, ease of installation, and overall value. Highly recommend for fellow pet owners or DIY warriors!

Best product I’ve ever purchased. Took us maybe 10 minutes to replace the screen. The tool it comes with is amazing. I would say the only hard part is trying to get the folds out. We just did the left side. Then the bottom. The right and the top and that helped stretch out all the folds. Super impressed with how easy this was. I added pictures so you know I’m not a fake paid reviewer. Just your average blue collar guy.

*Just wanted to update that their customer service contacted me and apologized for my poor experience with their product. They immediately offered me a refund so I wanted to update my review to reflect that at least they stand behind their product and do the right thing. I had no intention of asking for a refund being that I had already cut the screen and installed it so this was above and beyond that they did this. Will definitely purchase from them again for that reason alone just maybe not this product. I run a dog sitting business out of my home and replacing screen on my porch sliding door has become a fairly regular occurrence because, as you can imagine, I experience a lot more dogs scratching at the screen than a normal household might encounter. I first became familiar with a "pet proof" screen while shopping at Lowe's. I quickly discovered that due to the extra wide dimensions of my particular screen door that I would have to go online to find the size my door required. I've purchased "pet proof" screen a handful of times at this point. It has most definitely been worth every penny because it without a doubt lasts easily ten times longer than a regular screen would. That being said, however, this particular screen is not the "pet proof" screen I've become accustomed to. It's much lighter weight and I can visually tell right off the bat because of my extensive experience with screening material, that it will not last like the other product I found. I honestly don't even know why this product is called "pet proof" because as the header of my review says there is a much stronger version of this that will last much, MUCH longer. In hindsight I should have known when I saw the price and all the "extras" that were included that it wouldn't be the best material. I will say though, just the tools included made it well worth the $21 I paid. The scissors in the kit are really good quality and then you still get the screening tool as well as another tool to help you pick the old spline out. I think it's great that it also includes spline in the kit, however it was far too thin to work for my screen. I know there are various sizes of that though so just make sure when you replace your screen that you use the same diameter spline as was originally on the door or window. Hope this helps.

Love this so far, extremely sturdy. I had to replace my old screen because of my cats clawing at it. This was easy to put on and I paired it with a screen guard also to help with lasting long!

I was able to easily repair 2 damaged, faded screens(and still have extra left over) in an hour or so improving visibility and pest protection. My only gripe is that the screen was folded and not rolled so even after stretching and being installed for 6 months through the summer heat there is a fold line that I can't unsee.

This folded screen is a bit tougher to work with than other pet screens for a few reasons. 1. This screen is much stiffer, so it’s harder to stretch, hence it’s harder to get it evenly tight around the whole frame. 2. The folded creases is difficult to remove, because of reason #1, so I had to stretch it a few times to eliminate most of them. It’s a good idea to delay trimming off the excess material for a day, to give time for the material to smooth out, and give you more time to re-stretch the screen wherever you see unevenness or wrinkles. But, even after a week, though difficult, I could still see a bit of the original fold lines. As for how effective it is against dogs & cats, it hasn’t been properly tested yet by my kitties. But, judging by how much more stiffer & thinner it is vs. other pet screens I’ve used before, I’d be surprised if it works as well against my kitties sharp claws, but time will tell. Updates: (1) Happy to report this screen has survived a few runs of my kitties’ zoomies, even when they run full speed into it & climb to the top & jump off of it. This material is tougher than I’d thought. So far, it’s proven to be as effective as other pet screens I’ve used in the past. Hopefully it will continue to fend off my kitties sharp claws & teeth. (2) the wrinkles from the fold lines are barely visible now. I can still see some, even though the screen is stretched very tight & even. But, I can still see them, because I know where to look. Absolutely pet proof - my wife opened the window in the living room and the dog tried to jump out. This held up just fine. One roll has been enough to rescreen all the windows downstairs. It has been an absolute pleasure the past few nights being able to sleep with the windows open at night. The tools that come with it work well enough, but you might invest in something better (we did) if you're doing more than a few windows. As for pet claws, the only animals we have that scratch are cats and they don't seem to be doing any damage. Overall a very good experience. When we do the upstairs, we will get another roll.
