Well made and robust switcher. It's permanently in use in my audio set up and works well.

This is really well put together , the main toggle feels like it will go on forever with a very satisfying clunk , connections OK to take banana plugs & it has no affect on the sound quality , I needed to flick from valve based system Leaks to Quad 99 power on my solid state Quad set up. I am currently using it between Quad 405 & Quad 99 as the Leak powers are being serviced but I have every confidence it will work equally well when they are hooked up.

It does the task without fault, well built but industrial styling lets it down

… that I could probably have built myself for about a third of the price but couldn’t be bothered in the end. The switch itself has a very solid feel. It’s Expensive for what it is, but there seem to be very few alternatives on the market - indeed, the desire to switch between two amps into one pair of speakers seems a much more niche requirement than I’d have expected. (Mine was to switch between a Quad hifi amp system and a Denon AV system.)

I wanted to setup a 2-channel stereo system alongside my home cinema receiver and share the front speakers between the two systems. This works perfectly. At the flick of the nicely heavy-duty switch I can move from the AV receiver to the stereo amp and vice versa. I can't detect any signal degradation either, it seems pretty transparent. It is basically just a passive switching mechanism so shouldn't introduce any colouration if the internal wiring is competent.

Felt i needed to make people aware unlike the Douk little bear switch, this doesnt have a break away between speaker channels (OFF)So if both amps are on whilst switching it can cause confusion assuming both amps are on. I experienced a speaker thump and my preout shorted with my sub. Luckily theres protection on both sources but ive decided not to use this unit having a combined cost of audio equipment over £1000. Unless you leave one amp off youre playing devils advocate. Cheers

As an audiophile for more than 40 years, I'm pretty picky with the equipment I use (not CRAZY picky, but I do appreciate a good quality build). I bought this to use as a switch between two of my stereos so that each system can use the single subwoofer that I own. I don't have the room for another subwoofer, and I don't want to keep disconnecting/ reconnecting my sub, so being able to use it with two different systems at the flip of a (very high quality) switch is just perfect. Its build-quality seems very good; the box is nice, weighty metal, and the binding posts are of good quality. I didn't open it up to see how it's made inside, however. I was so anxious to try it out that I forgot to check, and now that it's connected, I don't want to undo it (lots of cables involved). This switching box works like a charm; the switch itself is robust, and snaps from A to B and back with a very solid snap. I perceive no loss in signal when using this switch versus prior to its installation. Since the two pairs of speakers are from the same company - Royd -, with one speaker being a Special Edition of the other, the subwoofer settings remain essentially the same. I don't even really have to adjust anything after switching from one system to the other, if I choose not to (although if I'm really picky that day, I'd have to increase the crossover just a smidgen for my Mk1 version). Anyhow, I digress... If you need a high-quality switching box to be able to switch between either two pairs of speakers, or two amplifiers, then this is the one for you. It's not super-cheap, but it's also not super-expensive, either (and you don't want a poor-quality switch just to save a few bucks, either). 5-Star, Recommended Product.
