360ed Electric Circuit Ar Learning Kit, April 2024I sort of like the kit. I've always wanted to understand electronics and how electricity works so I thought this might be great given it was designed for kids. I feel like I'm missing a more basic knowledge of electricity required to more fully grasp the concepts. That said, I have learned some useful stuff and will likely continue to use it.Maybe I missed something but I'm just not sure where to start. There are three different types of cards, two sets are numbered. I'm also only picking up the set every now and then.I think I need to revisit the tutorial. I'm just not sure how to move through the cards to more fully understand everything.

I have always wanted to learn more about electronics since I was a young boy looking at electronics learning labs in the Christmas wish catalogs. I never got one, but I never lost that interest and finally as an adult I have decided that there’s no reason I can’t pick up the hobby. I saw this product and thought it would be an excellent way to introduce myself to the basic electronics concepts and theories.While this is targeted in the listing as a “STEM Toy for Children,” it is most certainly NOT just for children. I opened the box, the first thing I saw was a flashcard with an infographic explaining how to read the color banding on a resistor to determine its value. This isn’t just kids’ stuff, it’s useful information for adults working with electronics every day. Subsequent cards discuss other electronic components and how they work, then show sample circuit diagrams to illustrate the concepts.The related app really expands the usefulness of the kit, including a glossary, circuits, a quiz and the meat of the kit: AR interactivity with the flash cards. This really brings things more to life and lets the learner look at all sides of a circuit, for instance, just as if they were holding a physical board. I wish the AR components and diagrams were more detailed and realistic looking, but they are nonetheless excellent for visualizing how a circuit is put together.There aren’t a ton of flashcards here, but it is an introductory kit after all. It is a great value for the learning tool that it is.

Not impressed with this kit. My son is very interested in electronics and circuits and was excited to test this out but he was disappointed. The 3D models aren't interactive and the device has to be turned a certain direction for them to be visible, with some going out of the frame. The grammar/English isn't great in places with some sections making no sense. He was really hoping it would be something that would help him learn to work all the various circuits but it just isn't a great program.

I got this for my 10yo son; he's really into electrical/electronic stuff, and has, and actively uses, the snap circuit kits. I really had high hopes for this - anything that integrates his tablet/phone is sure to be a winner, right? While this product seems to be well done and polished to me - it just didn't grab his attention. I think it's a bit simplistic and superficial - doesn't go deep enough. In any event, he quickly became bored with it.

If only teaching by augment reality was available when I was younger...In this electric circuit learning kit, you get a box of cards. Upon scanning the QR code and installing the app on your phone/tablet, you can begin scanning the card to interact with them. There are 13 circuit cards and 10 different component cards. Once a component card is scanned, you can move it to a circuit card to complete certain projects. For example, the very basic circuit card requires just a battery and a LED. Place the battery and LED on the basic circuit card to complete the circuit, and the LED will turn on or off when you flip the switch. Because it's AR, you can move your phone in all directions, come in close for more detail..etc. It's very engaging. I highly recommend this kit for any parent out there with a child interested in learning more about the basics of electronics!! Not only is it very fun and educational, but cleanup is a breeze. Just collect the cards and place them in the box!!
