Puregro Flavour Enhancer (Monosodium Glutamate) 100g

Yes, its creates takeaway style flavours. Very well! MSG arrived Monday (now Wednesday) and ive now had the chance to dabble with it; a chicken fried rice dish with plenty of fresh veg (red, green, yellow peppers), peas, sweetcorn, carrot, spring onion. Chicken was a pre-cooked affair for speed and i used microwave rice for speed also. Soy sauce used was Kikkoman and a pinch of black pepper and drizzle of garlic olive oil. Final few minutes added MSG slowly, then test-taste. Took a few mins to get right but you'll know when you hit that "sweet spot". One minute it's like "no", add more, then "no" again, add more then it hits you. So yes, a "hidden" flavour enhancer to re-create takeaway style flavours. I purposely didnt use any normal table salt to see how it went. I guess you could use normal salt then use MSG to bring it in to line with that distinct takeaway flavour but MSG alone worked very well. I sometimes add a pinch of sugar, too but i omitted it on this occasion for a reason. Next venture is chicken chow mein. Totally recommend! 100g bag fits through your letterbox so no "while you were out" cards left.

Brilliant, such good value too for the price! I’ve never had this before now, so I don’t know how it’s supposed to taste, but it just tastes like baking soda to me.. 😣 my dad and brother love it though so not a wasted purchase! Update - it still tastes like baking soda, but I now won't have my fried rice without it, it makes it so delicious and if I ever forget to put it in, I always notice my rice is 'missing something'.. and it's this! 😝

For anyone slightly apprehensive about this purchase, do some research. I too thought about this purchase for a while. If your are partial to Chinese food or the odd 'take out', this will be part of the ingredient. Also, many products you buy in store. If you want to create a 'take out' at home, this is a must. It really is the 'game changer. Use sparingly and less salt and you'll find your flavours elevated.

This may well be a user issue, however I have found this msg to taste almost acidic in some dishes. I've cooked with other msg brands before and never had this issue, seems to require a fair bit of cooking in the dish to get rid of this taste. Worth a try, but would recommend trying other brands if you find the same issue. But it is decent value otherwise.

I was unsure about this but thought I would give it a try. And wow it does work amazing I have added this to a few dishes now and it really does add something extra to the flavours. 100% value for money

I wanted to try this flavour enhancer out because I have heard that it enhances the flavour of oriental dishes when cooking, and I like to cook a lot of rice and noodle dishes. I tried it in my oriental cooking and it makes a huge difference, almost tastes like the food you would get from a takeaway! I now use this in most of my cooking, even just cooking scrambled eggs I like to add a tiny pinch to enhance the flavours. As long as you moderate how much you use, it is safe to use. I like to think of it like salt, too much and it is unhealthy, but just enough and you're good to go!

Ja Lieferwartezeiten war ok Naja habe kein soo großen Unterschied zu meinem Essen geschmeckt aber ich hab’s nunmal gekauft und deswegen werde ich es auch benutzen
