I was bought a Kaweco fountain pen for my birthday with one blue cartridge and a box of black ones. The pen was a delight to use until I put a black cartridge in. The black ink doesn't seem to flow and is like writing with a pen that is about to run out. Bought some more blue cartridges and now it works beautifully again. Having discussed this with the person who gave the pen to me, who is a long time user of a Kaweco fountain pen, they said that they also found that the black ink doesn't flow well.

For me, this is the best color of Kaweco ink for flow. The smokey grey and black just clog up my pen. As soon as I bought this color, my troubles were over. And it flows like a dream. No issues. Just a really good blue color.
