Okay, but limited
It is a good game, but lacks in the numbers of skirmishers you can play (only 7) and no customisation.

It’s a shame Dungeons 2’s above-ground RTS battles are so primitive and poor
Synopsis:In Dungeons 2, fulfill the Dungeon Lord’s insatiable quest for vengeance by recruiting fearsome new monsters from all corners of the underworld in order to undertake his evil bidding. Taking over the underworld isn’t enough though – this time The Dungeon Lord will extend his dominion over the puny humans and attempt to conquer the overworld too!Review (5.2/10):It’s a shame Dungeons 2’s above-ground RTS battles are so primitive and poor, because the underground dungeon-management stuff actually works fairly well. It’s nothing new or special — another would-be Dungeon Keeper successor — but that’s not the worst idea in the world. Dungeons 2 could have been a nice, if uninspired, Dungeon Keeper clone, but it reaches to do more than that, trips, and falls flat on its face.

Don't get your hopes up - this is NOT Dungeon Keeper 3
Like many who have/will be getting this game, we've been led to believe it will be an updated version of the classic game Dungeon Keeper. Well, you're in for a disappointment. Why they just didn't improve the graphics, maps, traps, maybe add a few rooms and characters, I don't know. The beloved mistress/dark knight/dark angel/vampires etc are no more. Nor are there torture chambers, prisons, hatcheries, or graveyards. Even the narrator isn't as classic as the original.I'm not sure why they chose to change so much, as DK had/has a huge fan base to go for. The campaign overview map and the in-game map, seem somehow cartoonish, and that dark dungeon side of DK is definitely missing. Graphics-wise, you certainly wouldn't think this game has only just been released, compared to the likes of GTA V, Watch Dogs, or even the far older Crysis. I'm quite surprised they're charging £35 at time of release when compared to other new games you can get for that, or less! That said, it is enjoyable, albeit not as enjoyable as a modern day DK would have been. There are still clear similarities - the fight between good and evil being the basis of the story line, creating rooms and putting down traps, imp-like characters digging for gold and in need of the occasional slap etc. Lets face it, there's nothing else around in this genre as far as I'm aware, so for now at least it's as close as we're going to get.Personally, I don't feel it's worth the £35 release price, but it is worth a play, possibly when it gets a little cheaper.
