How durable is the storage box? It looks somewhat rough and ready.

It looks a bit flimsy but is quite sturdy

Are these made in Germany or China?

Very pleased with quality. Knives and forks has Zwilling twin trademark with small R and 18/10 stainless marked. I understand Zwilling twin marked items is made in Germany but nothing on set to prove conclusively this. Amazon cancelled this order due to in transit damage. I then bought this set directly from Zwilling website.
