Love typing again
Been typing for 30 years and I miss the feel of the old Mac and IBM keyboards. This keyboard is fantastic. Built like a brick, tactile feedback, improves accuracy, perfect in every way. Read the other reviews and I think you'll get a good sense of where your hard earned dollars will go. But here's a few tips (for the record, I don't play a ton of games on a PC so this is mostly from the typing point of view):1. Research the right Cherry MX keys you may want. I stressed about this quite a bit not being able to try out a $200 keyboard. But the Browns are great. Good tactile feel, just enough resistance. I'd recommend them highly if you want a good all around keyboard.2. Mechanical keyboards are loud. Go to YouTube and search for Cherry MX and you get a bunch of sound tests. This is important if your in a shared workspace or a home office where the sound of keys would be a problem. I just purchased key cap dapeners which I heard help a ton. I'll update the review if I have a strong opinion one way or another.3. This is not a wiz bang gamer keyboard. It's black, doesn't have backlights, and there are no controls other than keys. It's heavy, well built and seems like it will outlast my next 10 computers. If I were to write a novel this is the one I'd want to type it on. I hear its good for gaming too :)4. If you love the experience as much as I and you get sucked in, it'll cost a small fortune. This keyboard, the num pad (which I just ordered with the Cherry MX Browns) and the dapeners will run you $250-$300. Yikes! I justify the expense knowing I use a keyboard for a living so why not get something decent.5. The keyboard is high off the desk, about an inch or inch and a half, and there is no wrist rest. So if you're not used to typing with your wrists resting on something, you may want to invest in a wrist pad.

Great keyboard
Although expensive, I consider it worth every penny. I use it for gaming in my spare time and a very, very large amount of typing for law school. It is my first mechanical keyboard and I am completely sold on it. It took some getting used to but now my fingers glide across the keyboard like liquid water.Noise level -- The brown switches are supposed to be the most quiet option for mechanical keyboards and they are, reletively speaking. Lets just say that the noise level is fine for home use, it's probably okay for office use depending on who is around you, but I wouldn't use one of these in a library. You can still hear some sound. Lets just say that it will keep your spouse or partner up if you are using it in the same room while they are trying to sleep.PROS: Great feel. VERY solid construction. Good for both gaming and work. I almost for got to add, GREAT LOOK. I absolutely love the look. Very professional and crisp. I don't know about you all, but I am 28 years old and I don't want a mechanical keyboard with a big alien on it and more flashing lights than a disco ball. I want the computer to look like it belongs to an adult, not a 16 year old boy.CONS: Expensive. No hand rest, but I'm pretty sure Filco makes a version with a hand rest. I don't know if this is standard, but the thing didn't come with a key remover.TL;DR version -- great professional look, high quality, joy to type on with gaming and work. Cons: expensive, no hand rest.

Best keyboard I've ever used.
I code for a living so investing in a good keyboard is a must. For a long time I used a Microsoft Natural Keyboard, which helped with tendinitis in my wrists (I have a genetic factor that makes me and other members of my family more sensitive to RSIs of this kind) because of the slit design. I couple years ago I was in a coworker's office and used his mechanical keyboard to type something (Rosewill with Cherry Reds). It was a revelation (my fingers feel so happy!) but I was nervous about the fact that most mechanical keyboards aren't a split design or if they are, they're either extremely expensive, have a weird key layout, or both! After much research, I finally took the plunge about 1.5 yr ago and bought a Leopold tenkeyless with Cherry Browns. The thing you need to realize about this class of keyboards is that the mechanics of their operation are so much better than what you're used to that even without a split design they are _way_ better for avoiding/recovering from RSIs.The Leopold is really good, but I had some issues with the build quality; I'm an Emacs user and the tab key would occasionally just fly off the board! The keys also sometimes felt a little loose. When a coworker's Rosewill failed, I decided to look into upgrading. Filco is pretty much the only way to go up from Leopold. So I took the chance and ordered one from Japan. This is a superior board in every way. It is a bit more compact, the key motion feels a little lighter and definitely a lot more precise. It's everything I loved about the Leopold and none of the stuff that annoyed me! Perfect.Just get one.

Loose keys, bad stablizers
Dissapointing keyboard for 150 dollars. I expected the best. There's a few issues I've had after owning it for about a month. The keys are not secured on well enough and wiggle around. The mechanisms that holds the stabalizers shift and move around causing the keys to feel loose. Also they cause my spacebar to move slightly when tapped which creates quite a loud noise. I've had my DasKeyboard with heavy use hold up for over 7 years and this thing has fallen apart after 30 days.It is a shame because otherwise it is a nice design!

I'm programing and it feels awesome!
I actually spent time looking for the best keyboard for programmers and this was my choice. I don't regret it.

気に入りました
最初はキータッチが軽すぎるように思えましたが、慣れてしまえば何の違和感もなし。軽快にタイピングできて疲れない。カチャカチャという音も心地よい。高かったけど買って良かった。

it's really as good as everyone says
Bought this as a birthday present to myself some 7 months ago now. Have no regrets whatsoever; it's really as good as everyone says. It was really tricky deciding which mechanical keyboard to buy as a first but I'm not sorry I chose this one.

素晴らしい打鍵感
初めてのメカニカルキーボード(茶軸)を購入しました。Logitech KX800 MX KEYSも所有しているが、メカニカルの方が断然打鍵感が良い気がします。タイピングが楽しくなります。
