Very glad I bought these - made a real difference to my DIY endeavours - highly recommended. Worth every penny.
Sealey Tungsten Carbide Tipped Masonry Drill Bit Set (8 Pieces) Like most people, I suspect, I am a somewhat reluctant DIYer but bite the bullet from time to time, when necessary. I have a couple of drills - one half decent cordless 18volt hammer drill and a cheapie plus elecric screwdirver etc - enough to wrestle flat pack furniture into something like the shape it should be - put up shelves and that sort of thing. Up until recently I have generally bought sets of drill bits containing a mixture of wood, masonry, metal bits along with some screwdriver bits thrown in for good measure - cheap and cheerful and usually good enough. However- the walls in my current house have proved to be something of my bete noire - an albatros hanging around my neck, circling like a malevolent harpie - taunting .. taunting taunting me with my inability to drill a hole in them without ending up with a crumbling hole the size of my fist or a broken drill bit. Enough was enough! I fired up the PC and took a look on Amazon. These are great - my foe is Vanquished - neat holes obediently appear in my walls and no longer are the sounds of my wailing and gnashing of teeth to be heard. Harpies have all gone -as for the albatros - I shot it. These are great - they do exactly what they are supposed to do and make your life much simpler. Put a 32 inch TV up on a bedroom wall last weekend - took hardly any time at all - fantastic. Worth every penny and I wil buy more from this range if necessary.

Excellent quality drill bits, that have conistently proven to be very handy!
This is a great masonry drill bit set, having used these drill bits on a number of different applications, its safe to say these are robust. Being a young DIY enthusiast, I often take up the challenge of everyday useful tasks inside and outside my home. I've used these drill bits in conjunction with my "Milwaukee Fuel Combi Drill", and its been a pleasure to use. These drills bit have enabled me to drill through masonry with relative ease. As a result of these drills bits, I've been able to fit an outdoor water hose reel, fit an outdoor retractable washing line, wall mount a 55 inch TV and fit a curtain rod. I have no doubt in my mind that these drill bits will provide many more effortless applications. It's worth mentioning that my walls are tough as nails, being a 1930's house, you do have to bear in mind you need a decent drill to tackle tough applications too, the drill bits are only there as additional aid. I mean there'd be no point in using "Shell V Power" fuel in a "Matiz" you see my point? With that said, I have no hesitation in recommending these drill bits for tackling any masonry related applications. These drill bits are undoubtedly great and do exactly what they are claimed to do. If you found my review helpful, please click the "Yes" or "Helpful" button to state this so I know its been a help to someone. Thank you!

Excellent masonry drill bits.
After trying to drill the wall from hell, where the drill bit went so far and stopped, refusing to go that last 1/3rd of an inch - I decided to get some better drill bits. After browsing reviews I settled on the Sealey set of carbide tipped masonry drill bits. I have to say that they were far superior to the wilko pro ones I had tried and failed with and it took a fraction of the time to drill the holes. I did remember to have a cup of cold water by me to cool the drill bit as they do get very hot. This was a game changer and preserves the sharpness and life of the bits. They did arrive with the plastic storage case lid damaged but that happens. All in all I highly recommend these Sealey masonry drill bits.

Does the job perfectly
I've had so many issues drilling into brickwork with standard drills, smoking or turning bright orange with heat and then blunting. Have used these and so much easier inside and out and I always drill a pilot hole with one of the smaller drills. One big tip I learnt from other reviews is to keep a damp cloth handy to cool the drill and for really solid walls that prove difficult, withdraw the drill a 1/3 or 1/2 way in then cool and go in again. Very good value for money.
