A fantastic book at a great price

Fabulous little coffee table book (actually just a bit bigger than a "standard" Penguin paperback). Some photos will be very familiar, others less so, but no less iconic.

Book arrived 4days earlier than the window I was told. Great book, excellent condition considering it is ‘used’

Amazing pictures... such a cool book! (Even if it was smaller than I expected) will make a nice addition to my coffee table!

I bought this book thinking stupidly it was the original size. It's not. Its tiny. It is just an inch bigger than my hand, which is small so it really is hand sized, pocket version. NOt much pleasure in looking at images as they are far too tiny for pleasure. Pity because in original size it would be amazing!

友人へのプレゼントとして買いました サイズはペイパーバックの長辺を正方形にした程度の小型のものですが、中身は非常に濃い。NGの有名な写真を一覧することができるものなのですが、それだけではなくて、写真というものが伝えうる事実や感情といったものを凝縮した一冊になっていて、不覚にも友人に渡す前だというのに感動のあまり涙が出ました NG創設以来の人類の歴史、様々な生命をたたえた地球の営み、世界中のごく普通の人々の暮らしが、それぞれの小さなページからひしひしと伝わってきます。決して美しい景色だけが被写体ではありません。NGの報道に対する強烈な使命感というものが、そこにはあるように見えます

Das NG Buch hatte ich schon lange auf meiner Wunschliste. Für mich ist der hier rezensierte Photoband einer der besten aus der National Geographic Reihe. Jedes Bild hat eine eigene Geschichte. Es lohnt sich immer nur ein paar Bilder zu betrachten und das Buch dann wieder wegzulegen. Es berührt und begeistert und es macht Laune sich selbst wieder auf die Reise zu begeben um die Welt für sich zu entdecken.
